Looks like "utbsrft" to me... of course, if that doesn't pan out, we can switch it back and see what that gives us.

and they don't rot... vigenere perhaps...

that 2 really throws me off. Odd for a ROT content (does it or doesn't it rot?) and for a vigenere (taken into account with the key, or ignored?)

*sigh*
no rot stands out (from 1-25), and can't think f possible vig keys (common words aren't showing any feasible matches)

grah!

I'm not getting anything, either... not that I really know what I'm doing when it comes to codes...

hold on... (I tried a few variations of known phrases for keys, but somehow this only just appeared to me)

as per
Quote:
We have a message for you from the resistance fighter who placed the cameras:
No fate but what we make. Resist the machines. Take back the future.
Remember this. You'll need it someday soon.

from the latest blog, plus the cyphertext as vigenere:
Quote:
GVNRMCUQXJAYLWYEAVMKSUI2FWWYELETMQYIUTBSRFT

(forget spoilers, skip if you want to solve yourself, hehe)

ignore the "2", and decode with "no fate but what we make resist the machines take back the future...

THIRTYTWENTYSAUSALITOCANDDRAZERFILECABINET
...3020 Sausalito, CA 2nd Drazer File Cabinet

gogogo!

ETA: the only 3020 address I can see via google is 3020 Bridgeway in Sausalito. Are there others?

Perhaps "Drazer" is "drawer" - a mistake in the Vig?

hah yeah, that would make sense Razz (and I was looking for Dr.Azer as a possibility Laughing )

So these are places at 3020 Bridgeway in Sausalito (which is around the location of Enitech and whatnot), it's a plaza... so not sure which place to go to.

Health Clubs - Nautilus of Marin (415-331-3020)
Real Estate - Henkel Enterprises (415-332-3406)
Angel's Flight Heavenly Sausalito Vacation Rental (415-332-6577)
Helen Schweitzer Fine Art Photography (415-331-1949)
Sausalito Chiropractic Center (415-332-4145)

there may be more, but those are the first few hits...

eta: an here's the google map link

Whee! God, I was hoping she's not dead... she's too cute to die that way!

This is awkward though... Five businesses at the location, and the drop is in a FILING CABINET? It's not like you can walk in to the offices of these places and rifle a filing cabinet.

If I were to venture to guess, I'd say the vacation rental. There's possibly seasonal and the least casual.

But do we even know if it's Bridgeway? Gonna try asking the resistance...

Oh, game is definitely on now!

From resistance...

The guy who used to run this mailbox is dead. I'm not sure what was going on with Enitech. What are you looking for at the location? If it's a resistance drop, look for some out of the way place that has lockers or mailboxes or storage.

OK, so who's doing the field trip? Smile

Hmm, lockers or mailboxes or storage....

How about The Travellers Mailbag at 3020 Bridgeway? From a quick google it seems like they do mail forwarding and mail storage etc.

Request For Clarification:

The screen cap...what is this from? I don't want to end up on a wild goose chase. Are we 100% that it isn't a gamejack?
