The blue thing is probably the card reader.

I'll have to do some more looking around, part of the issue for me is I'm only getting about 30mins of daylight before I break out the flashlight. lol

All joking aside, what's the blue thing in the canister? I don't remember seeing it, or anything like it, in the other retrieval pics... Also, I like how they've changed to a slimmer camera... I guess we weren't supposed to take the modded look of the others as a hint of anything.

The blue thing looks to be a memory card reader (no USB out on the camera?). As for the camera, I think the Resistance just cut back on the camera budget. Smile

Nice work RKE, and nice shoes. Wink

Ok, because it seems there's a little but of uncertainty about this (but maybe it's just me), I'm going to recap recent events...

So rosekitty found the TX package, which contained
* camera (not Canon S100; model?)
* USB cable
* card reader
* compass/tool thing
* SD card (size?)

She took a north-facing picture, but the card also had a daytime picture already on it.

I believe she's sent in the picture to Enitech that was already on the card.

Was this discussed in the chatroom? I don't recall this being stated, nor do I recall seeing this picture in rosekitty's flickr account.

yes I had to look back through chat history to find it but

<rosekitty> and it is obviously the one they want

also, the flickr is just her personal photos she took of the drop. The picture she took with the camera isn't in the set either.

Triangles

I was staring at the triangles from the two pictures and remembered that the Cyberdyne systems was a series of triangles. Might be how they will fit together eventually.

Hmmm... This triangle piece doesn't seem to match up with either of the first two triangles and it only has lines trailing off one edge. Doesn't appear to fit with the hexagram idea, does it?

Yep... The fact that there's also three sizes of circles casts a shadow over my morse code theory, too...

Complete wacko speculation here: the signs all say "resist", which is of course talking about the resistance, but is it possible at all that these might be some sort of electrical diagram? In reference to http://www.doctronics.co.uk/resistor.htm#what resistors? They look a bit similar.

Reminds me more of a state diagram or a neural network.

Also if you look at the full size symbols, the circles don't appear to have 'set' sizes... even small ones look to be slightly different, and it seems there are definitely more than just 3 sizes... Confused

Ah, that settles it. If the triangles contain a code it's more complex than my original speculation.

It looks to me as if there are going to be four of these, and they're going to link up. I can't tell properly, but it looks like the left hand triangle links up with the right hand side of the middle one... That also implies that we're going to get a 4th one from the Florida camera, which is going ot be another "end piece" (IE only have connections on one side), just like the Texas one.

Edit: The right side of the right hand triangle looks like it matches the left side of the middle triangle, too.

[SPEC]

4 triangles = a pyramid. it could be possible to connect all the sides such that a pyramid is formed, and that when you look at it from a particular position, the lines or circles you see through the sides... form something.

kind of like the Founder puzzle from the Beast, if that helps at all.
