The RESIST signs

Would somebody be so kind as to print out a scale-corrected version of the Resist signs and fold it into a tetrahedron? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetrahedron

Trout me if someone looked at doing this before, but it seems the easiest way to look at the network "from another angle".

What if the three circles in the corners of the diagram are all the same point and form the top of the pyramid?

Ok, I've printed out the contrast-adjusted puzzle posted a couple of pages ago by thebruce and made a tetrahedron out of it. It really hasn't offered me any new insights. If I can get a chance, I'll print that line drawing that kayberry created onto an acetate sheet (clear plastic) and fold that into a tetrahedron too. Maybe looking down *through* the pyramid may help give me more of a clue.

Crazy Idea

What if we're supposed to take the diagram at face value that it is a neural network. In that case we can model it and see what it does when executed when we plug in the different number sets we have as the weights.

We can use something like this:

Ok, I've put together a clear tetrahedron with the puzzle pattern on it. I'm not seeing anything significant, but then I'm not really sure what I'm looking for and I'm a complete newb at ARGs. I'll grab some pics of it if people want - just let me know what angles you want.

Edit: Please remember to tell me which triangle you want on the base. Razz

new reply from dyson... it has to be the pyramid:

Try to think of the circles as spheres . . . each tirangle picture shows the perspective from one side of the pyramid . . . we need to assemble this structure in 3 dimensions and that should (hopefully) take care of the lines that appear to go nowhere . . .

If you fold it up into a pyramid, and follow the lines, this is roughly where they go. Continuation lines marked in blue:

Apart from looking even more complex I don't see what this gets us. But it might give someone else an idea, or disprove a theory.

Left field theory: First time I saw this I thought it might be a map of events and parallel time lines. Apparently not though.

actually that's an interesting point... not sure if it'll lead anywhere, but the disconnected lines do seem to intersect circles at some point... it may be that the 'cap' piece is just unfinished.

If it's folded into a pyramid, the disconnected sides would touch the two other cap piece sides, allowing us to extend the lines. here's my version:

Top-down, with the center triangle as the base and rotated so that the triangle in the top of the image appears at the top of this new perspective image.

When I built the tetrahedron from paper and held it at this angle, the angular lines coming off of the top circle seems to correlate to angular lines coming off of the far corner circles of the other two triangles. Unfortunately my X-ray vision cannot penetrate paper, so I'm left to guess what the see-through image looks like. I then turned it into a large D4, which I used to determine that the answer is 3. I then spent a good hour trying to reconstruct the tetrahedron within Second Life, but the textures would not cooperate with the prism primitive which would have made the job significantly easier.

Maybe what we need to find out is what is missing from the diagram, such as lines that should be there connecting items but aren't. Does that make any sense?

A question which AFIK hasn't been asked before now...

The resistance is going to have precious few opportunities to send us messages. What is so vital about this information that it over rides other priorities? True it looks like a neural net, but how could this help people prepare for or prevent war? In that context does anyone know what it could mean or represent?

Skynet's neural net might be one answer. A clue into how he thinks? A mapping of contractors and sub contractors? How he gets built? Any other notions?

I don't think we need to add any connecting lines, although it would take some mirroring as thebruce did to make all the lines tie together nicely. Cyberdine's future HQ is a pyramid if my memory serves right - from the Terminator attraction at Universal Studios. problem is that breaks some of the connections we've already made.
Hmmm...

This puzzle is like any other . . . it has to somehow give us more information. This neural network is a cypher key that, once properly assembled, can be used to decipher a cypher text of some sort . . . So assembling the key is but one half of this puzzle, we still need to know where and how to apply the key to get some sort of answer. The Resistance has already told us we have all we need . . . this could mean two things . . . 1) we have all we need to assemble the key and once the key is assembled, the rest of the puzzle will be revealed. Or 2) we have the key and puzzle and are overlooking something. One way or another, I believe we need some new piece of info from the game.

Well, we've received two types of information recently; the triangles and the numbers from takebackthefuture. There must be some way in which the two are combined.
