can't tell if you've got the latest complete/fixed diagrams in there, but the video can updated if necessary Smile I think a couple of the early tracings versions had a small line or two missing. I may just update the PNG's, then you can updated the video if you want (if they're not already fixed)...

I did a half-assed fix myself on two of the tracings - good enough for a YT video and get my foot in the door. Smile If you do update them, I'll redo the vid to match.

They accepted my crude animation using bruce's tracings.

Also looks like the floodgates may open for everyone to join BlueCom now as well.

Oh what the hell... mail sent.

BTW: You part of *every* ARG 'round here? Wink

Starting to feel that way. Once I finally extricated myself from Cloverfield I decided it was time to get back into a real game. Looks like I've gone overboard. It's a good thing Tooman and some of the others are too deep for me to jump into right now. Smile

MrToasty: Tracings updated (and a bit larger for sharper detail)

Kayberry - yeah, I've tried sum totals, but I haven't tried fixed/positive equivalents. But now you're free to try ideas yourself too, if you're accepted by DT Wink
And the thing about the order is that the nodes have lines connecting each other sequentially, so one slice may or may not look different depending on the position of the nodes on either side. There also is not necessarily a 'cut' between the NE and E slices, as the 'angle' of the node isn't necessarily restricted to its slice. That is, a line between two nodes may cross that slice barrier at any point.

My email:

I am a software developer in Miami, Florida that has been following
your work at Enitech and the Dyson Trust for some time. I've been
hoping that I can assist in this BlueCom project, and apparently we
now have opportunity.

What do I need to do in order to assist in this project?

...and their response!

I shot off an email to Dyson Trust earlier, and recieved a reply a few minutes ago with login details to get into the BlueCom project. I've been typing in random things (numbers, names, letters, etc) and one thing I've noticed is that the symbol in the little circle in the centre of the diagram changes every time. I dont know if it's significant or not, I just thought I'd point it out.

I got a username for Bluecom... I was able to decompile the flash file so I know what the "Answer" is that you are rewarded with for entering the correct values. I guess it is unethical to go about getting it this way so I guess I shouldn't post it?

I am new to ARGs so I don't want to break any rules!

If I SHOULD post it, let me know!

Hypothesis

I have a hypothesis on the numbers that I would like to test before I post about it here. Earlier today, I wrote to DT about my hypothesis and requested to be admitted to the BlueCom project. The reply was, what would you like your user name and password to be. About an hour later, they opened the gates to everybody.

I believe my hypothesis has merit and will bring some interesting results as well as possible answers to questions. Let me just say this, until I can test it, the middle symbol has meaning.

I can not use the AI program until I get to my home computer. I will post initial findings sometime between 6 and 7 PM Eastern time tonight. In the meantime, keep cracking at it! Smile

Anyway, next up - the central character is just the character representation of that resulting value. Really it means nothing.

Just a first observation, but it seems to me that the central character only changes based on what the sixth value is.

Don't spoil it. There is no fun in that.

Which obviously means it's a predictive program!

Yeah, I mentioned this in my analysis of the input a while back. And it's explained below...

Yeah I got all that too Smile I decided not to, mainly because I think there's significance to the 6 entry values, and we really should figure it out... while all flash content is fair game, I think it's kind of a much bigger leap forward; solving a puzzle without solving it. And the answer doesn't lead us anywhere effectively, but just probably 'triggers' the next plot point... so I opted to avoid posting the flash contents until we got the entry values legitimately.

Kelis wrote:

I'm sure we'd love to hear your hypothesis... my review of the code that determines the character is that the character code is based on the random value seeded by the entry strings... so I don't believe the character has any meaning, just as the layout of the nodes doesn't have meaning except as a 'check' - once we have the right six input values, the diagram and character should match up with the image posted with Mike's notes.
