In LC's defense...

I just registered for this board to confirm everything that LC said regarding the movie synopsis. I too saw the movie tonight in Gainesville, FL at Regal Royal Park at 8:00 PM EST.

Call the theater tomorrow (352)377-1327 to confirm that they had a Cloverfield screening tonight.

Everything was spot on in the review, INCLUDING the whole May instead of January stuff. I'm as confused as anyone who hasn't seen the movie about that, so who knows.

You chose to read the spoiler, lay off LC. He/She typed up a wonderful review. Is it really hard to believe when all of these different spoilers are popping up on the net TONIGHT and they all tell the same story? Cmon.

edit: Movie theater name correction

So what's the deal then? If we knew beforehand the movie wasn't based on 1-18-08...why so many people crying about it now?

I'm an administrator over at 1-18-08news....and we never discussed this before....so that's why I don't know anything you guys discussed.

Cool...

So, can you yourself try and give an accurate description of the monster? Without re reading what LC said...can you do it?

I'm going to have someone like draw it..

Go watch Return of the Jedi, and add a couple of little arms to the Rancor.

Actually it was discussed quite extensively back when the interview came out back in mid-December.

Yeah..... it doesn't effect me anymore sense Reeves' announced it before the movie or spoilers came out.

And as for the "Rancor" stuff...the monster isn't going to look anything like the rancor. The tails LONGER the face is most def different.....the arms are much thicker and shaped different....and the back legs sound like they'll be thicker anyway. So yeah.....it's not a Rancor clone.....so stop referencing it to that creature.

I'd love to, if it weren't so hard to describe. You never got a great view of the thing as a whole.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
First you'd see it dodging in and out of buildings. Then, you'd see its feet stomping around our characters. The best shots of full body were when the cast was up on the roof of the building holding up Beth's and when they were in the helicopter.

It's a long lanky flat-footed weird ass alien. The most noticeable trait about this monster was its weird front arms. They bent downwards almost like a spider's appendages, or like having arms shaped like legs with a knee cap when it was forced to all 4's. It's face was smallish compared to its body with the 2 red sacks. (the best view of its face was when it was standing over HUD about to bite him. He looked around, then down and saw HUD, and stared at him for a few seconds. Here's a drawing someone did from a description. The face isn't right as well as other parts, but it's a start.... meh

The point is, it's a really good movie. It feels like a mean monster that has no motive but to just cause chaos. Everyone needs to just relax and see it for themselves.

No..

Going off of Mrs. LCs monster description....which doesn't sound anything like the Rancor.

Like I said, that drawing is one I found created by someone who hadn't seen the movie but was making a guess based on someone else's descriptions. Trust me all, it's a cool enough monster. He's definitely mean and nasty enough.
