if you read the descriptions NO, thats not it, it has some of the same qualities such as structure and build, but thats not it.

The real creature has eyes, a humanoid face, the air sacks are behind its ears, it has 2 small crablike legs on its torso. its not really armored. I think it might be sort of close, but not really. My drawing was based on all the descriptions I read.

I haven't read too much of these spoilers, but do you think there will be a sequel?

I suppose that would depend on how well Cloverfield does at the box-office.
They've developed a compelling backstory with Tagruato and Tidowave...so that gives them room to tell the story in a more conventional way...with a bit more destruction of course.

Where's the compelling backstory? Oh you mean the bullshit on myspace and slusho.jp etc? That stuff which, as far as anyone knows, has fuck-all to do with the film?

Yeah, I called it earlier in this thread but it's worth repeating the movie is OOG. Just use the same standards that were used to validate everything else IG.

I just want to see some crazy, sick looking monster tearing the city to shreds. I want NO survivors and I want at least one sequal with NO survivors. The bad guy deserves to win one every so often.

To back up LC's original post and subsequent updates, I believe that he/she DID see it.

Here's a link to a guy who goes to MSU, apparently they had an advanced screening for some reason (maybe Reeves or Abrams went there or something?). He backs up LC's story 99%. I leave out the 1% due to forgetting miniscule details, etc, but LC has seen it and has reported to us an accurate review.

Anyway, he goes into QUITE a bit of detail and doesn't hold anything back. So with that said, unless you REALLY want to know, be sure you're ready before just randomly clicking the link.

All I can say (after reading the whole thing, of course) is WOW, mother of god, WOW!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

And I can't wait to see the damn thing 3 or 4 times in the theaters and then download it and watch it at home another 21 times to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Peace out, and stop arguing over someone else's good fortune to see something before you did. Jeez, immediate gratification mofo's, ever heard of patience? Sometimes waiting makes something better, or did your moms never tell you that? Wink

I've decided not to read any more spoilers now, I have learnt enough and I'm going to try to keep something to enjoy for the film, which doesn't come out here for a while.

This is EXTREMELY close to the real monster. Whoever drew/created this thing was nearly spot on. I'm telling you this thing is a beast and this is the best representation of it I've seen.

PEOPLE WHO HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE:

Tell me if my pathetic attempt at drawing the monster's face (based off a small sketch based off of all of the descriptions) resembles ithe actual facein anyway, shape, or form:

well this picture:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v447/ignatz/album%2034/cloverfield3flat.jpg
eases my mind somewhat. I've seen BAMatUF and a couple of other people on other forums confirm that it's really damn close. A lot better than what i pictured from the discriptions.
