or do they spread it around evenly??

Honestly, with all the other noises like screams, buildings falling down, etc, it was hard to depict the monsters roar. There were a time or two where you could hear it fairly well though, and it was a lot like the roar heard on the 1-18-08 site.

how does J.J. die?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Well, the monster doesn't really eat HUD, he more bites him, killing him. The scene isn't very long, but it does give you a very, very detailed look at the monsters face. The monsters face is where the scare comes from in that scene. You also see the inside of the monsters mouth. It was one of my favorite scenes, but was sad too, cause HUD was my favorite character.

It's really something you have to see for yourself, but trust me, it's awesome.

You mean Jason?

I really don't remember seeing him die, but I do remember him just vanishing and then Rob dealing with his death. So I'm not sure if it's assumed that he dies, or if I just missed it somehow.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Well, it's kind of hard to tell what he bites. You see the monster, then a little bit of inside the monsters mouth, and then HUD falls and drops the camera which falls down next to where HUD is lying. Sorry I can't describe it better, it was a fairly fast scene.

I gotta get to bed guys, I'll try to answer some more questions tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm new to here and forums and general, but I've read this entire thread, so I'm golden. So Slusho had nothing to do with it?

Slusho, Tagruato, Tido Wave aren't mentioned in the movie... and to me- that's understandable. You see, not EVERYONE has checked out the backstory or even knows about it. So when they see the movie, they won't be confused by all these odd names. I wouldn't have minded if Slusho was mentioned. But in a movie perspective- it doesn't really matter because it's not the main issue in the film. In the backstory- yes, but in the film; no.

Yeah but it was only 90 minutes long, im sure they could of atleast put a little about tagarato or slusho and made it an even 2 hours or even 10 minutes longer!

Do remember that this movie was filmed months ago. They probably had no idea how this ARG/ARE was going to be, and odds are that this thing was moderately fluid in that some things might have changed and updates have been occuring constantly. You expect them to predict that?

Also, I'm sure Drew Goddard didn't have this ARG/E planned when he wrote the screenplay.

If this ARG/E didn't go as planned, it would have been a waste to include any mention in the movie.

Besides, it's kinda out of place in the movie, no? Why does everyone need an explanation? This isn't from the POV of the goverment, or scientists or anything; it's about some local yuppies running for their lives. What do they know?
