[Common Courtesy] Keep Spoiler Talk out of In-Game Threads I know this is going to be impossible but out of common courtesy:
If you have read spoilers or have seen the movie early please keep any spoiler info out of non-spoiler In-game threads. I almost read one in the Chuai video thread before averting my eyes. The sentence started with. "But from the leaked production notes..."
So if/when Jamie video #10 comes out please do not post information based on seeing the movie, having read leaked notes, etc. Personally, I want to follow this game/experience to the end followed by watching the movie on the 18th at midnight.
There are plenty of threads labeled [spoilers] for folks who want to know and discuss before seeing the movie.
- here's hoping
Edit: Fixed that typo in the header for you. <- Common curtsey. -SpaceBass

I'm admittedly new to the mod crew, but I'm going to see what sort of recourse there is to bury spoilers in a proper spoiler tag in posts. Being that I've not seen the film and don't want to fully spoil it for myself, I'm going to see if there's a mod that is not concerned with such spoiling and if obscuring such post info in spoiler tags is considered an acceptable edit I'll request they lead such an initiative.

Fifthed (?)
I hate trying to stay away from these boards, as I really want to continue along with the ARG- but I fear being spoiled after being UN-Spoiled for 6 long months.
Please don't ruin the surprise for those of us who have not seen it, and do not want to know until we can see it for ourselves!

Start a New Group or something, this will archive Pre-watchers ideology and post watchers in different discussion boards?

it's a good idea, but who would move? those who have watched, or those who haven't?
There's so many threads important to the game here that whoever moved would basically have to start all over.
It may also cause a whooollleee lot more trout

This will be the Pre-watcher thread, create a new for people that are POST viewing, it only makes sense, considering it like Pre-war and Post War.

Thing is I'm on both, I read the spoiler, dont believe it all, so still playing as if it is not true. If you had found what the monster looked like in a photo would you have stopped playing?....no...so why would I stop now based on what someone said it looked like. I am still looking for Jamies #10, new blogs, Tido & tag. Hopefully idiots will not just put up and will Tag there comments/topics!
Now lets get on with the ARG!...lol

Splitting the sub-forum was a good idea. Personally I'd like to just have another additional area for those who have already seen the movie to hang out in and spam their spoiling hearts out.
Yes we should be responsible enough to not read anything with a tag, but out of sight is out of mind. Plus for anyone wanting to just feel free enough to discuss the movie itself after seeing it they can have that freedom absent from worrying who they'll offend.
Avoiding a post seems simple enough, but the intermingling will surely lead to a certain level of ruining it anyway. By separating it completely I believe this can be reduced.

Agreed, after the 17th... they should just tack on a new directory.

Glad to see many supporters
IMO, from what I have read the game/experience ends with the movie launch and I personally don't hold folks accountable for spoilerific talk after the movie is out. For those of us following this I imagine 90% of us are going at midnight

I think the dangerous part is those of us who've read the production notes or any reviews are going to have to be responsible enough not to use that information on other non-spoiler threads.
It's simple in theory. If it comes from anything marked SPOILER, don't reference it without masking it or marking your post. Don't go into theory or discussion threads and blab about what you know just to make yourself look good. Any thread not marked SPOILER should be assumed to be safe for those who want to be surprised, and we should honor that.
And I fully support the mods wielding whatever tools needed to keep that integrity, including a banhammer if necessary.
