Good job confirming the theory. Did it click when you saw Bowty25's use of wingdings?

No, no consciously at least. I'd played around with Wingdings and Webdings for cheap clipart in the past. I'm surprised it didn't hit me sooner. Maybe if I had examined that image more without seeing the sign language first it might have.

Cool find!

I've tried to decode it with enigma simulation, but we need the 3-letters-key. It's surely in that zeppelin picture. But what?

Not sure what the key is or where to get it. It could be in the sign language - I'm compiling a list of what characters they show and where you find them. There is also the seemingly irrelevant image of the hippopotamus.

ETA
Here is the list I get:

Aurora Home
5 (upper right)

Enyo Home
R (upside down, lower left)

Junker Home
R (middle left)

Junker Locations
D (middle left above Austria)

Junker Projects
D (upper right)

Enlightenment Join
4 (right)

Enlightenment Contest
3 (bottom)

There is a '5' image link in the Enlightenment home page source, but I don't see it anywhere in the Flash. We might also discount the 'R' on the Enyo page, as it is upside down and Enyo isn't officially acknowledged from any of the other Junker sites. So, this leaves three letters (R, D, D) and three numbers (5, 4, 3) which would seem to jive with an enigma machine. Of course, we don't know the order of the letters or numbers for sure, so that leaves a decent number of cases to check.

I know I tried all combinations of this the other day, but I guess i missed one. Using this site http://enigmaco.de/enigma/enigma.html(thanks MrToasty) if you set the rotors to 5-4-3 and set the starter positions to D-D-R, the following message appears:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
SAVETHISCODENAMEGESAMTKUNSTWERKSAVETHISPASSWORDKONZERTMEISTER

Now the question is where to use it.

(BTW: the 5 seen in the enlightenment source is visible on the welcome page)

Just had a thought about the hippopotamus image. Do you suppose this could be alluding to the hippocampus?

Hippo

definitely, Toasty!

Thanks for all of your hard work decoding, everyone! This one was literally giving me nightmares!

I can't wait for the next puzzle, here...I'm hooked!

KONZERTMEISTER

Also, i did some looking around and one of MUSE's co-founders is Craig Wagner. When you google GESAMTKUNSTWERK it says the term was attributed to Wagner (the german composer). Interesting? or irrelevant?

Probably very relevant since Muse has been used several times, both here and in the Yori thread as well...

If you do a Google image search on 'aurora' the background is the 5th image. Apparently the smoky ring is an actual picture from space of the aurora australis that appears over Antarctica. Additionally, sometime around 1912 a ship with the name Aurora did an Antarctica expedition and there is a place called the Aurora Subglacial Basin somewhere down there. What all this means is anyones guess.

Is there anything else we've missed? We have a login and pwd but no place to use it so far. We never received all of the 'cake' pieces. Hopefully we'll have something new soon (I know, I've gotten spoiled lately). Tomorrow is the cutoff for the Enlightenment poster contest, so maybe something minor there. I just hope we don't have to wait until the Pisces II launch. And whatever happened with John's blog?

I was just coming here to ask about John's blog. I e-mailed him several days ago asking if he was ok, but got no response. Are we supposed to think he has been abducted?
