Well, I'm 20 and I'm still considered a 'kid' by elders, so it doesn't really matter.

Quote:
I think it's a real problem with our society that people are more comfortable with gore, violence (simulated or not), and horror than they are with even "brief nudity".

How is that possibly healthy? How is the naked human body, or an awareness of sexuality, inherently unhealthy for older children and teens?

Exactly my point.
Someone mentioned that caring for a human is better than harming one. Obviously.
As an ex-kid and teen, kids without oversensetive parents (not knowing the word 'SEX' after 12?!?!) would be confused and probably do the 'six-year-old-eww-someones-kissing' additude, but A NORMAL kid 12-14 years old would be much better with non violent sex and would prefer sex over violence (Ask kids 13-15 this- 89% will say yes).

As a growing teen, Cloverfield is different. Like hell yeah there's gonna be blood and violence, but it PG-13 violence, not SAW violence. Besides, Rob loves Beth. It's not as if he raped her, so it's a completely different thing. Sex has different genres and the good version that was meant for human beings is now stigmatized by the media and so on.
