i would try to see it in theaters if possible, but i don't get out much as is...and i don't wanna wait for the DVD 3 months from now...

i was tempted to say no because i would like to see it in an earlier showing but as i live in utah and we get nothing i pretty much had to say yes. in fact assuming i am not able to see an early showing my plans are as follows:

I work graveyards but i never work friday nights and i have requested that thrusday night off as well. so i will find a thursday night at midnight showing to go to, then i will go home and go to sleep. wake up, check out these boards to see if anyone is talking about parts of the movie that i didn't notice as much, and then go and catch a matinee of it. and maybe even see it again that evening (maybe with some buddies, maybe on a date). this is assuming that it doesn't just suck balls, which i am hoping that it doesn't. (but i am the kind of person that finds it hard not to like any movie really, most people think that i am crazy cuz i love all m. night shymalan movies, especially the village and lady in the water. that is why i would be a horrible critic, i pretty much like everything and something like this that i have put so much time into before the movie comes out, there is no way in hell i am going to dis-like it.)

Friday, first showing.
I'm lucky in that I live in a God-forsaken desert wasteland were almost no one I talk to has any idea what Cloverfield is, or is "too old" for monster movies, so I don't think I'll have much competition.

Even my wife seems willing to go, if for nothing else, just to get me to shut up about it.

I'm going if we have a midnight showing in my hometown. Or the earliest next day showing. I'm taking time off from both my jobs to make sure I don't miss it. All my friends want to see it, but they lack the dedication (or insanity) I have.

I may see it three times, but I'm leaning towards two. Depending upon how I feel after work Thursday night, I may make it for the midnight showing. The next day, I promised my nephew I'd take him to the matinee (I ordered a Slusho! hat for him and a tee for me - hope they come in by then!), then I'm meeting fellow Cloverheads later that evening for the showing then (details TBD). Cloverfield trifecta!

I would most prefer to see this with some other uF folks *ahem*, but even if I have to go 'alone' (somehow I don't think I'd be the only one at a midnight premiere, even where I live), I will.

I'd be like to say "yes", but since I'm in Germany, I've to wait 2 weeks till January 31. But "yes", I'll see Cloverfield at German opening day.

And I won't download it. I have to be patient.
