i'm probably late but

IF this is true, they didn't find the tape in january. its obviously passed hands a few times. why would they find a tape with a big notice that says "MULTIPLE SIGHTINGS..."

This taking place in may stuff is even more confusing considering that the pictures on 01-18-08.com were timestamped for January 18th.

maybe that is that date was added later thats why some don't have dates.
And the date is when there found

Said this in another thread but it bears repeating.

It looks like there were two major miscommunications between marketing and the screenwriters/editors

1) Marlena was one of the friends and knew everyone in the VMC. That's FALSE, by way of interview with the actress.

2) The going-away party (and as such the arrival of MGP in New York) happens on 1-18-08 in the VMC. FALSE again, since we now know the movie takes place in May, thanks to early reviews.

Stuff like this happens. Some novelizations have stuff in them that never made it into the movie or were changed at the last minute. Promotional clips get cut out. IT HAPPENS...especially when you don't give marketing all the details for fear of secrecy.

Ignore the Myspace pages and the dates on the photos. Then you can still salvage most of the VMCs story. MGP doesn't have to beeline from Chuai to NYC, you know.

Well the pictures of the party on 1-18-08 where dated, obviously, 1-18-08.

I thought that was pretty concrete.
