What if the images are not covered during the case (which they aren't in the movie) only when on line, or until the case begins, to protect families that have not yet been notified?

That these are exhibits in a case against TAG or TIDO, the authorities would have blurred the designation of a Naval ship perhaps, it would then follow that the "teaser" is being presented in the same case and so the blurred face of the soldier...

 		If there is indeed a case, I do not think TIDOWave would be on the Defense. Everything here points to Tag being the ones on Trial. Sure, you can make the argument that these pics of the Tanker and the Station could be used as primary evidence (Gee, where have I heard that before?) against TIDO, but with MGP attacking the city, they couldn't pin THAT on TIDO, particularly with TIDO already gathering evidence.

 		Yeah, I don't think TIDO would be on trial. If Tag brought suit against TIDO for "terrorism", and MGP came up, how would they defend having knowledge of a big giant monster that they didn't tell anyone about.

I think it's New York, or U.S. versus Tagruato.

 		With starshiptrooper's theory, I actually encountered the same thing while doing 9/11 research. So, I'd say the theory is possible, even though I can't say what that theory is, lol.
And, the problem you have with your theory, I think I may know how to fix it.... Just sayin, lol.

 		The blurs look as if they're meant to erase something that was printed on the photo, like a time/date and possibly other text (perhaps the photographer trying to disguise their identity). Otherwise, why wouldn't they blur out the claw marks on the side of the ship?
