first of all, I'd suggest posting your mail in CA's site. Just to give opportunities for contact

and well, I'd like to wait for a response from the one contacting me, just to make sure I'm not spoiling anything... this is my first ARG so I don't know all the "protocol"... imagine if this game had some kind of different sides or teams and I began advertising everything so openly .
I know this forum is all OOG but... I'm not sure of what is happening yet. But I hope to have some more info soon

Tench - yeah I don't blame you, I've gotten blasted for posting one thing IG and something else here OoG (did it to show character interaction and such). Sometimes its a thin line to walk. By the way added my e-mail to the public site, but it different that the "official" e-mail I have in my profile so I know if who sent it has admin. status on CA.

Also there is a possibility it is a game-jack as well. Guess we'll see as this develops.

This isn't the first time I'll be putting forward an argument like this, and it probably won't be the last.

As a player, you have every right to reveal or withhold any information you may receive. And you're right -- if you do reveal information, other players may use it in ways you didn't intend. (see lengthy discussion on that issue here)

However -- on the whole, applying the collective intelligence to problems helps parse through the issues faster and more effectively. Also, withholding information creates higher barriers of entry to the game for prospective players -- and when you look at all the high quality games that are out this month, that could be fatal to a game's development.

Thanks both of you for your tips. It's been a whole day and no reply to my last email, so I guess I'm not qualified for whatever they were intending (and I understand it, as my location makes me just a "remote" player). So I'm transcribing it here... If anyone wants to do anything special with this information, it's ok, but would be better if we all tried to make it look as if we were "in game"

Anyway, here it goes. On 4/3/08, at 8:57 (gmt+1) I received this email:

Hmm, Something about the e-mails just doesn't seem right, still not sure if i get the feeling not to trust the character or if it is more like a "game-jack" feeling. Either way something is off (but I've been wrong before).

Agent Stenc seems to be focused on Aliens, whereas the game is broader with multiple conspiracies. I lean toward game-jack, or more likely a player trying to mine other players / possible characters for info through a self developed character.

Of course, I could be wrong. Stick the name Agent Stenc next to "them" as possible character. Time will tell.

hey guys ive been in contact with skylar since the first email was sent, i thought it was a player so i didnt htink anything of it, until i got another email at work today and realized he was probably a char, i got the same email as above me^ i replied asking if the MIB was will smith followed by a jk of course, i will post any further convos, again im sorry for the tadiness of my posy, i honestly just thought it was another player :/

Two thing. One: AgentStenc has now posted on CA askign for anyone to give him information. I dropped him a line. I will let you guys know if something comes of it. Two: It was asked previouslly if anyone donated. I have donated to the site and received an email from Sawer saying that the money is not really for site costs. One thing I thought was odd though was that I got two emails from Sawyer, but they were not identical. One had another persons name in it as well as an additional phrase. Am I the only one who thinks this is a bit odd?
