The face is probably wrong, but is this how the arms are?

So..

Since you've seen the movie, what EXACTLY are we looking at when it passes by the buildings when the military is shooting at it in the trailer?

I was at the screening tonight in Philadelphia too (idk if it was the same one, I was at the Ritz 5) and the audience reaction was positive in my opinion.

And like everyone else is saying, its not going to be universally loved.

I also feel like a lot of the representations of monsters I have seen here are close, but none are hitting it right on the nail. Also, this may be the case because we never get a glamorous Michael Bay style tracking shot of the entire creature. It starts out with the tail on the bridge in the beginning, we then begin to see more and more of the monster as it destroys the street as they dive into the subway. We finally get a great shot as they are in an appt building trying to save Rob's girl. Also, full body shots are seen as we are in the helicopter.

The definitive face shot is at the end when (unrealistically in my opinion) Hudd survives the heli crash and then stares face to face with the monster for about 10 seconds.

im still really pissed that none of what I, and probably many of you, think are the cooler aspects of the premise (slusho, tagruato, origin) are even touched on.

reminds me of the matrix sequels. in this case the ARG is the original and the actual cloverfield film is the sequel. it misses the boat on what made it all so much fun and so interesting.

i want to see it again though just for the visceral thrill. on mushrooms. and in the front row.

i'm in fishtown/northern liberties.

i saw the monday screening at ritz and was sitting next to reviewers from a few local papers.

i also went to the anchorman screening a few years back and my completely insane laughter resulted in the philly press giving anchorman better reviews than probably any other paper in the country.

for perspective: fav movies include carlitos way, fight club and fast times at ridgemont high.

hold onto them for a bit... J.J. Abrams may not be finished w/ them yet. Slusho is gonna end up being a universal thing- probably used in his other projects.
