why Cloverfield?

Hmm...this guy (Reeves) seems to spout a continuous stream of lies and half-truths about most everything pertaining to this movie.


I think somebody said here that the movie is called cloverfield due to the shape of the footprints of MGP. He left those "clover" prints all over the place, and that's how you end up with "cloverfield". Let me do a little search.

That someone was wrong lol I never once saw a Clover shaped footprint anywhere and I was looking for them (having read that persons synopsis before I saw the movie) In fact at one point...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
You see the footprints or divots in the ground the creature leaves, right before they head up into the building to get into Beth's apartment. As far as I remember they were just big frickin holes. If they were in the shape of Clovers then it was not obvious at all.
