hey, i've been following this thing and lurking on the forum for about a week. i registered at the sight, and i got an email from hexeditor. sorry if this is trout, but i haven't seen anything on the forum about it. i got a .wav file entitled 411 that was a phone call between an operator and a garbled male voice. here's the dialog as far as i can tell.

Operator: "411, directory assistance, what city please?"
male voice: "Catalina"
Op: "for what listing?"
male: *garbled*
Op: "Excuse me sir?"
male: *garbled* sounds kind of like "inconceivable"
Op: "I'm sorry sir, but do you need directory assistance?"
male: "Yes I do. You do too."
Op: "Are you ok sir?"
male: *garbled*
Op: "Sir, what listing in Catalina?"
male: *garbled*
Op: "I don't show any listing for passenger, rail car, or frieght shipping in Catalina Arizona."
male: *garbled*
Op: "Sir, if you don't give me a listing to look up, I'll have to disconnect."
male: *garbled*

Could this be our train-hopping friend?

As soon as this is confirmed as not trout, I'll upload the file. The email itself was blank other than the subject, which was "Listen".

We are no longer in pre-game, at least we're pretty sure we're not. A good way to find quickly if someone is already discussing what you've found is to search the forums.
