 		is there anyway someone can help by making a step-by-step type thing? or pm with a nudge. im such an idiot, i have no idea how "modification" "destruction" "anagram" and "chance" have something in common

look at the way the words are arranged

There are 12 places in that ring, when a letter is eliminated the place stays for counting purposes. Start at the indicated letter, count 2. The first letter eliminated is N. When you are done eliminating letters there will be four left. Those 4 will make a word.

what's the clue with the 1666? I clicked on it but can't figure out what it's asking me to do.

I know what the theory is, I tried everyone who found it, going back to the old greek philosophy guys

I've figured t's got something to do with arranging numbers via colors, but what's with the t to e thing?

Just make sure you count them all. If you think you are close, but might have missed a few, just start increasing your input answer until it hits.

Nothing to do with numbers and colors. "e <-- <-- t" is very important. Goes with "The key is at your fingertips..."

Hmmm, which keys are at your fingertips?

Retry what you said you tried. One of those should have been the correct scientist. Remember all lower case letters and no spaces.
