UPDATE: Reggie's blog

http://hexeditor.blogspot.com/

Thursday
He found me. How I don't know I can't find me most of the time. Black vs. White, Spy vs. Spy, Luke vs. Darth.. Where did red come from? Black vs. White vs. Red. He sat at the table wanting me to earn his trust. He should be earning mine. He showed me I could trust for now.

I rode the light and here's how it went. Quick before the squeaky shoes come looking for my noisy fingers typing.

411, Directory Assistance what city please?
Catalina.

For what listing?
It's in that place where I put that thing that time.

Excuse me sir?
Inconceivable!

I'm sorry sir but did you need directory assistance?
Yes. I do. They do too.

Are you ok sir?
Yes, SSSHHH I hear their squeaking shoes.

Sir, what listing in Catalina?
Must have something to do with where choo choo go.

I don't show any listings for passenger railcar or freight shipping in Catalina, Arizona sir.
Don't go into my pantry. I locked one of them in my pantry.

Sir, if you don't give me a listing to look up I'll have to disconnect.
Turgenev O-N-E. Look for him under..underneath photographers or...

They didn't like me making phone calls in God's office so I've been away. He likes to talk to me while I practice reciting pi to the 150th digit and then backwards. Sometimes he tells me I'll be going home soon. It's too noisy at home.

Directory Assistance couldn't find it. Check the local listings. I'm going to have to get this to the smart people and see if they can get to it before he finds it. Find it before he finds me.

"Rode the light" - 'Ride the Light' is a motto for Qwest
"Squeaky shoes" - maybe a reference to Kung Pow?

"That place where I put that thing that time" - Hackers
"Inconceivable" - Princess Bride
"Yes. I do. They do too." - ??
"Yes, SSSHHH I hear their squeaking shoes." - ???
"Must have something to do with where choo choo go." - Blazing Saddles
"Don't go into my pantry. I locked one of them in my pantry." - Signs
"Turgenev O-N-E. Look for him under..underneath photographers or" - ???

pi to 150 digits:

FYI... Turgenev might be a reference to Ivan Turgenev, 19th-century Russian novelist/poet.

Not sure how important this is, but I didn't recognize the name when reading the blog entry, and wanted to see where it lead me. And what about the O-N-E? Is that literally Reggie spelling out the word "one" to the operator, or is there a clue there?

Wow, thanks addlepated. I would have never known these to be movie quotes. Apparently, from the list of them, the PMs have wildly different tastes in movies than me Wink

(520) 825-2499

Turgenev's solution was not revolution, mystical nationalism, or spiritual renewal but in the industriousness of the confident, methodical builders embodied by the engineer Vassily Fedotitch Solomin, a side character, in Virgin Soil.

Maybe it is the engineer character of Turgenev's we should look at...
