and I can make out half of a visa stamp which I found to be an Egypt Visa. That's strange because Ray mentions on the yahoo message board that

I couldnt piece together when kanewoods was in Egypt though... Confused

It's the exact image they used in creating kanewoods passport page...

If it is the exact image they used for "story purposes" then it shows that Kane Woods entered Egypt in May and although the Visa was good until August (after the July "expiry" date imposed by QND).....we still wouldn't know when he left. He could have, conceivably, left the next day. Is there an "Exit Visa"?

they could've altered the dates to fit with the game OR they may have just used the circular stamp part of the image. I guess we won't know until the full passp.qnc image is restored...

Those little sneaks. They actualy deleted some bytes. Lucky I found that too, it was by accedent when I was trying to sync things up again. I'm just repairing every block with 0x00 to try and get more of the image out. Here is it, with what I thought should be all done. It's missing half still.

Looks as though the only part of dates they altered were the years.

Date of Issue: 16-5-02
Valid Till: 15-8-04

Everything else looks the same as this so far.

(I know the "5" in 16-5-02 looks like a "3" but if you compare it to the original I think it's a "5" that is just a bit skewed.)

Yes, it does indeed appear to be the same. I got the whole picture in, it turns out they probably took it from the first instance of 0x0A at the start of the block. At least that is what looks most likely.

These three different attempts at it should give you all the info you need. I don't think I'm going to go any further. (unless I try and find the correct position more accurately)

It's a real bummer that this didn't turn up anything more concrete.
