My friend stumbled across this on youtube. I'm not sure if it's real or not, but it looks like something that might get serious.

Reminded me of Kidnap.
In 1998 Blast Theory launched a lottery in which the winners had the chance to be kidnapped. Ten finalists were chosen at random and put under surveillance. Two winners were then snatched and taken to a secret location where they were held for 48 hours.

The whole process was broadcast live onto the internet. Online visitors were able to control the video camera inside the safehouse and communicate live with the kidnappers.

During the run up to Kidnap, a 45 second video - the Kidnap Blipvert - was shown at cinemas around the UK. The Blipvert carried a freephone number, allowing people to register their interest.

Yes, but the person in the video looks much different than the kid in the video. He looks shorter, he also looks fatter.

OK, I can make out only two other people (I think) other than the images apparently snagged from the Web: The one in the black hood who leans toward the camera and a person with (I think) tape over their mouth and hand/arm held up in front of face like maybe they are removing the tape?. Other images from clip are the colored test pattern bars and the blue staticy looking image. Oh, and the "You have 2 months to stop us." message.

Only other things I've noted so far (stayed up too late last night reading posts on this forum so kinda fuzzy today):

#1859 Seg. 56b is title of video - I'm not even going to try to think about what that means right now.

I hope this is an ARG, I would like to start one right when it starts. I found a web site, 2monthsleft.com. It has nothing on it, returns a 404 file not found error, so theres nothing on it. It has an SSH port open, but I could not log on...

I think the title is in italian. It says: "It does not watch behind." Maybe it means "It's doesn't look back"? Hm.

I found a clue. If you look closely, it seems as if the victim is running away... hmm
