This isn't a [TROUT], cuz it has a new article, but the subject matter HAS been discussed before, back in august, so lets call it... um... [FRESH FISH].

I suggested " simple mario-style game: slusho power-ups, hair-demons, giant lion bosses, dodge the SOL heads..."
IronJ146:"Yea, You gotta form Voltron and fight Cthulhu and little raptor-like Cthulus."

I'm sure it will probably suck, but I hope they do.
They should do it 1st person P.O.V.
The smaller monsters will probably have a big part in the game. They should give you different character options, like you could either play as a:
Soldier or a civilian
and from those 2 choices you get several different backgrounds...
kinda like the Urban Dead game.
[EDIT]and they should make it as open as possible... giving you plenty of different options/ways to get out of the city... that would be the main goal right?

I don't think they were speculating on a 'Cloverfield' game, I think they were just using the movie's release as an excuse to write a filler article on monster games they like.

Shadow of the Colossus was an amazing game.
And I'd say there is about a 70% chance of a Cloverfield video game. Just seems like the kind of movie.

If it's TRULY successful, people will want to ride the tail of the comet, so yeah... hop on the money making train known as the Cloverfield Express.

If they make a Cloverfield game, I hope that it'll be like Dead Rising. Just play a journalist that picks up the occassional weapons and who's there to report on the situation. Oh, and hook up with several surivors along the way, which grow into actual characters so that you'll actually feel attached when they die.
