He was Slavic.

He said "No! No! You are going the wrong way! You can not go the wrong way! There are little big spiders (hard to translate, exactly, but he let him know that there were smaller monsters who were also big, and spider-like)! There is a monster!"

Nothing revealing. Probably just something for everyone to obsess over, or maybe a throwback to the babbling and screaming citizens of Tokyo?

Thanks for the translation! Also, its funny that you mentioned that last part, because thats exactly what I was thinking!

Just another show of support for the slavic or other varient of an eastern language. My gilrfriend speaks russian, and she said it didnt make 100%, but it was mostly giberish sounding to her, but it was from a simalar language.

If you play it backwards, it says, "Fat man you will die a very painful death when that monster chomps on you MWAHHAHAHHA"

Hi people! I was finally in "Cloverfield" yesterday! And I've heard, what did that Russian guy said.

He was really Russian actor, without accent and really authentical (wow, dear JJ Abrams, it's great progress after that creepy stereotypical Russian with Vodka and fur cap in MIR-station in your "Armageddon"). He said: "Listen to me! My friend is pinned down by a fallen debri! Please help me to take him out!" It's a little bit different translation from previous, but normally German cinema dubbers use the original sound of foreign languages in US movies translations. Or the same script, read by foreign people living in Germany. So I think, it wasn't lost in translation.

Btw. I'm back here on forum after long spoilerphobic weeks. I glad to read you again Very Happy
