[Spoilers] The Monster IS JUST A BABY?!

Reading someones post i realized they quoted Abrams

Quote:
It's been down there for thousands of years, its just a baby, its disorientated
And stuff like that,

Which makes me think...

Theres a MOTHER?!

If they can barely get rid of that one,
and it's got a mom out there somewhere,
IT MUST BE HUGE!

People complaining of a tiny monster,
you aint seen the parents yet! x]

The concept for the monster (affectionately known simply as "Clover" in-house) is simple, says Abrams. "He's a baby. He's brand-new. He's confused, disoriented and irritable. And he's been down there in the water for thousands and thousands of years."

It isn't literally a baby, he was just saying that its behaviour was like one because it was so confused in the new environmnent.

Actually, it may very well be just a baby. It may just have a freaking humongous lifespan.

I'm almost positive that Transparent Blue is correct. The monster isn't really a baby in that it's a newborn, it's just new to the world above, confused...and hungry.
