What if the true monsters are the alien parasites

After seeing Cloverfield for the 3rd time, it dawned on me that maybe the huge monster is a host for the little ones, and a mutated human.

Here me out.

1. We have examples of wasps that lay their eggs in still living spiders and that the larvae eat out the spider and other bugs from the inside until they are mature to burst through to them.

2. Most complex large organisms have in their digestive systems other organisms that help wit the digestion and processing of food, including us.

Here is the hypothesis:

The little critters were dragging Hud away and biting him to become a host of the eggs/spores/whatever they do to procreate themselves, based on existing conditions on their home planet. Since we are small little humans and not what they are normally biologically tied to in terms of hosts, bite victims die out and explode. This would be caused because the little critters when they bite you, their spores/eggs posses retro-viral capabilities to turn the host into exactly the kind of animal that they would feed and breed upon. Similar to the film example of the book/movie "The Relic" where an ancient retro-virus turns a human researcher into a monster.

Now normally we humans are not suitable hosts for such an aggressive biological change and as the retro virus begins to alter a bitten person, the lungs and heart expand as the blood begins to accelerate the transformation throughout the body. However, someone who has had enough Slusho to fuel their metabolism, for one reason or another, may survive the initial change.

With Slusho's special energy boosting properties mixed in with a parasite bite, the DNA of the host gets overridden and parts of our ancient DNA ties get activated, turning the host into a hybrid of the giant creatures the initial parasites fed upon, but mixed in with some humanoud and ancient reptilain characteristics still within our genetic code. They key is having enough slusho around to keep the body from burning out of the change (say a Hulk transformation of the body, but only the major organs change and not the rest, so the enlarged heart and lungs burst before the rest of the body can catch up).

Or maybe it constant "care" or protection by the little critters to keep the transformation going.

I further argue that Tagruato has been aware of the little parasite aliens and has been collecting the Slusho formula from them, like we collect honey from bees. The chuai station is the scene where they uncovered the little critters, TIDOWave members got on their and by mistake set some loose and they infected a coworker on the rig who just happened to have Slusho in his/her system and transformed them into the monster.

And maybe the Cloverfield monster is a separate mutant that was infected and survived.
