The Film Made Me Dizzy! Is it just me, or did Cloverfields "Blair Witch" style cameras make anyone else dizzy/sick.
Halfway through all the movement and jerking of the camera made me feel like i was gunna puke!

well unfortunately I think theres a small percentage of people who are just more sensitive to stuff like this. I did get pretty sick but I kept hanging on. The place was packed and everyones face was glued to the screen. I only saw one girl run out of the place rather quickly, her bf followed soon after!
I don't know what to tell you except I wish I could've been one of the ones who didn't have any issues with it. I do suffer from actual vertigo though, so I had a lot working against me. I still enjoyed the hell out of it! Hopefully it won't have the same effect on tv screens.

Not good, then. Just got out of the hospital from having the stomach flu. Couldn't stop throwing up. However, I insist on seeing this tonight.
Was it really that bad?

i dont think it was bad at all. there was like 1 or 2 times in the whole movie where the camera got really shaky, other than that it really didn't seem bad whatsoever.
my theater was absolutely FULL btw.
and there were only 2 morons saying shit at the end of the movie, i was surprised.

yeah, but i would've liked it if there were cameras on stands, and not being carried around.

I read these threads and in my head think what a bunch of wussies.
So if karma jumps in that means I puke on myself tonight...
Going for Dinner and Beers before I get to the theater.

If you can find a way to get past the first 30 or so minutes you can probably do OK through the rest. I gave some suggestions in this thread which is thus far spoiler free.

if you get really sick.
Take your coat off (If wearing one)
and close your eyes for a minute, slowly breathing.
Wham, your fine!

I saw it at the Alamo Drafthouse, which is a restaurant / theater and I was having dinner while watching it. Glad to say my food stayed down the hatch.
I don't get dizzy that quickly, but I can imagine how some can get light headed during scenes like the helicopter ride.
P.S. I too watched it to a packed theater and only had 2 f***ing morons behind me who were stating at the end how easy it would be to stay out of the monsters path and how the movie sucked, blah, blah, blah...

:O!
A Restaurant/Theater? COOL!
Anyways,
its wasn't the Chopper Scene that made me sick,
it was the beginning and in the tunnels

I would've turned around and said to them:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Yeah, because you are expert zoologists and know exactly how those little parasites behave!"
Morons.
It wasn't their favorite 'unbeatable' uber-monster, screw 'em.
I'd like to note, no 'spillage' where I saw it last night.

Had to post back here.
Went to the bar before the movie grabbed dinner and a beer or two...
Ok turned into about 8, ran into old friend and one thing lead to another.
So the movie starts and the first 5 to 10 minutes I had that feeling in my stomach. But, once I stopped dwelling on it and agjusted I was cool.
There was two spots on the way out of the the theatre that had that minty fresh smelling saw dust. Heard the girl in front of us come back in and yell at a friend "SHE IS THROWING UP LETS GO!"
Not many people knew about the credits. A bunch of the people we went with thanked me at the end for a few things I told them to watch for.
MOVIE WAS GREAT!!!
