Yeah thats what I figuredwith all of it...new york just has a lot of graffiti....still i can understand the speculation with the weird camera angles always having the graffiti in the shots

Well, go to New York and look around in an apartment. There isn't a wall that exists that doesn't have graffiti on it.

Just got back from 4th viewing.

This may be a stretch. I am aware. But here it is anyways.

In one of the clips when Rob and Beth are taking the train to Coney island there is reflective wall right behind them. In the reflection there is a bald gentlemen sitting down behind them.

Here it comes...

The man bears a striking resemblance to Evan Handler, the actor who played "Dave", in Lost. You'll probably remember him as Hurley's imaginary flashback character he met in the mental institute.

After seeing the movie for a 4th time, and going out of my way to look for easter eggs that is all I came up with. Thats why I truly am a zero.

What do you think?

Actually, no.

Do we know roughly which interiors were shot on a soundstage? Those would be more likely to be worthy of this sort of scrutiny. The Beth retrieval, the convenience store ... those might have some odd bits half in the frame for us to fixate on.

Good point...I agree that it may be done for our benefit, but it could have also been done to keep the feel of the same place for the entire movie.

Personally I think the electronics store might be a good place to start. There was a lot of people in there and a lot was going on around them all, but i ahve yet to hear about anything standing out in there...maybe we missed something?

I noticed that guy too. I don't know why, but it almost seems like attention was supposed to be drawn to him.

I remember the man to but I never thought of looking directly at him. What makes you think attention was drawn to him?

If i remember correctly the reflection shows him repeatedly...and the camera is kinda focused on him as well as Beth

This is horrible, but I can't really explain it. I just remember focusing on Beth, and then almost at the end of the clip I looked at the guy and was like "woah, I wonder if he's a clue." It was almost subliminal or something. I seem to remember him moving in a funny way, or the camera focusing on him, or something (only saw the movie once, but he really did stand out).

Yeah, the reflection might have had something to do with it.

Sad to say, you're gonna find ALOT of "LOST" references in the movie, simply because J.J. Abrams put them there for his LOST fans to find. It's actually good marketing skills... It widens the Cloverfield audience a bit.
