 		This theme is such a tribute(in it's first few notes) to the old Godzilla movies. I love it. It's ominous and very respectful of the genre of movie they are trying to reinvigorate here.

Actually, as a long-time Godzilla fan (and a guy who will tape the 2-day marathons AMC has of the OG Kaiju) I felt that the theme was very reminiscent of the old Toho movies, not to mention that this makes sense; Abrams wants this to be America's Godzilla.

Anytime I hear the beginning to the Gozilla theme, the muted trumpet part that has been sampled so many times, I'll yell out GODZILLA-SAN!

This song makes me think of how the original Godzilla ended. I always thought the added Raymond Burr parts were alright, but when the released the original Gojira here in the US, it now makes me think of Cloverfield. A monster nobody knows anything about, just wrecking havoc, but yet no one understand why, and what it is. It left us wondering a lot of questions of where did it come from, where is its kind
