Just for completeness, Reggie's updated blog contains the transcript for the above audio file mentioned here .
Quote:
Reggie's Blog
Thursday
He found me. How I don't know I can't find me most of the time. Black vs. White, Spy vs. Spy, Luke vs. Darth.. Where did red come from? Black vs. White vs. Red. He sat at the table wanting me to earn his trust. He should be earning mine. He showed me I could trust for now.
I rode the light and here's how it went. Quick before the squeaky shoes come looking for my noisy fingers typing.

Transcript of WAV file:
411, Directory Assistance what city please?
Catalina.
For what listing?
It's in that place where I put that thing that time.
Excuse me sir?
Inconceivable!
I'm sorry sir but did you need directory assistance?
Yes. I do. They do too.
Are you ok sir?
Yes, SSSHHH I hear their squeaking shoes.
Sir, what listing in Catalina?
Must have something to do with where choo choo go.
I don't show any listings for passenger railcar or freight shipping in Catalina, Arizona sir.
Don't go into my pantry. I locked one of them in my pantry.
Sir, if you don't give me a listing to look up I'll have to disconnect.
Turgenev O-N-E. Look for him under..underneath photographers or...
They didn't like me making phone calls in God's office so I've been away. He likes to talk to me while I practice reciting pi to the 150th digit and then backwards. Sometimes he tells me I'll be going home soon. It's too noisy at home.
Directory Assistance couldn't find it. Check the local listings. I'm going to have to get this to the smart people and see if they can get to it before he finds it. Find it before he finds me.

This must be some sort of clue from reggie about solving the caretaker email puzzle. He does say "He sat at the table wanting me to earn his trust . He should be earning mine. He showed me I could trust for now."
Last time we heard from him in the pre-game, it was to give us a clue to solve test 6. I don't see how this latest contact applies to the caretaker email though...
Could it be the:
- Black vs. White vs. Red
- movie quotes
- Turgenev O-N-E
- pi to the 150th digit and then backwards
- "Check the local listings"
"I'm going to have to get this to the smart people and see if they can get to it before he finds it."
And what are we supposed to get to/find before caretaker does?

Another movie reference? In "Signs" (God, I hated that movie), they locked an alien ("one of them", anyway) in the pantry...
Not sure about the quote, though.
Now this can be found associated with the movie "Blazing Saddles":
"Why would Hedley LaMaar care about where the choo-choo goes?"
And as for "Yes I do. They do too", the only thing I can find is this conversation from "When Harry Met Sally":
Harry: "You realize we can't be friends, right?"
Sally: "Why not?"
Harry: "What I'm saying is and this is not a come-on in any way, shape, or form, is that men and women can't be friends because the sex part gets in the way."
Sally: "That's not true. I have many men friends and there is no sex involved."
Harry: "You do not."
Sally: "Yes I do."
Harry: "No you don't."
Sally: "Yes I do."
Harry: "You only think you do."
Sally: "Are you saying I'm having sex with these men without knowing it?!"
Harry: "No, what I'm saying is that they all want to have sex with you."
Sally: "They do not!"
Harry: "They do too."
Sally: "They do not!"
Harry: "How do you know? Because no man can be friends with a woman he finds attractive, because he wants to have sex with her."
Sally: "So you're saying men can only be friends with women they find unattractive?"
Harry: "No, you pretty much want to nail them too."
Sally: "What if they don't WANT to have sex with YOU?"
Harry: "Doesn't matter because the sex thing is already out there, and the friendship is doomed."
Sally: "Well I guess we can't be friends."
Harry: "I guess not."
PS - Grumpy, are we missing something from the transcript? You seem to quote something about getting this to smart people [us]?

1. The two default games that come with Windows are Minesweeper and Solitaire
2. Reggie emails us as user "minesweeper"
3. Is he suggesting something about Solitaire Encryption? I tried messing around with earn.txt and solitaire, but got nowhere. Of course, this goes back to the fact that we've established the 625-char string to be random, so it doesn't appear it could be any type of encryption method. But when I saw the minesweeper email I couldn't help but think of solitaire...

I was thinking about the minesweeper thing. Minesweeper is a grid and you play by picking the right squares out of the grid. What if that's a reference on how to solve the puzzle. The text fits into a 25 by 25 grid and we somehow have to pick the right letters out of it.
just a thought.

So I really missed the forest for the trees on that one, because I didn't even consider that Sounds like a good idea to me, but essentially this is what we've been trying to do for the last couple days. The piece that's missing is how exactly to know where to pull characters from the grid. Hopefully that nugget of info is buried in this email/mp3...

Yes, SSSHHH I hear their squeaking shoes.
The only movie reference I can find so far with squeaking shoes is the exorcist and its a weak connection at best. The boy that the exorcist movies was based on heard squeaking shoes at night.

We really need to do something about all of these multiple threads. This is what we've found so far just so I can have it in one place
