In the bombing scene (from the helicopter), doesn't the monster look a lot thicker than this? In every other scene, this toy looks spot on, but i could've sworn he looked more like a fat salamander in the bombing scene....NOTHING like this. Anyone else agree?

He did look a bit thicker there, but in that scene (a) you were above him, and (b) he was much lower to the ground while running away.

[quote="im a lion, AND im huge"]head lungs bright red at the end? i suppose it could be like over time hes more flustered. \quote]
Yeah, I'm speculating that they turn that bright red just like when humans get "flustered" their cheeks get really red.

He has emotions too yah know! (maybe with some anger management we can domesticate him!)

Doesn't look much like the monster in the movie, because it's not 'the' monster in the movie. The quicker you accept it, the quicker we can move on.

- Head lung...things aren't the same.
- Tail is piss weak
- Very 'thin' body shape

I'm thinking this is a badly coloured version of the one that killed Hud, but not a model of the monster that was in the rest, because it wasn't that....pathetic.

Rubbish....

It's the same monster. Do some lighting and photographic tests with it and you'll see... Smile

The one problem, and i've said this before, that i do agree with is... the upper half of the front arms arent quite big enough. In the scene where it gets carpet bombed, his arms look massively thick..

Since it will take me so long to point out every mistake. I'll take this opportunity to rewrite your sentence for you.

Fixed!! I like how it came out. It's like the movie, not fantastic but good.

Three things:

Thing of the first: Does anyone else notice he has lips like a fish? Just saying.

Second thing: I agree that the proportions look a little skewed, but at the same time, it's probably just the really boring angles the picture is taken from. The tail is obviously shorter (Watch the bombing run scene for proof), and his torso does seem a little narrower, but honestly, they proportions make him look much more humanoid. Maybe this sends us back to the whole 'Teddy = monster' theory? You be the judge.

Thing Three: HA! They're not tentacles! They're little arms!! Little arms that... rest snugly on... his crotch....

...man, I hope he doesn't use THAT to eat people.

That's true. It just bugs me. It's not like he was a little thicker...he was like 5x thicker than in this pic!
Oh well, we've seen the other problems that perspective has played with us; i can accept this as well.

Skin color accurate?

I find it weird that the toy is a chalky white when in the movie (especially during the end Hud-chomping scene) the creature appears very dark....almost black. Just my observation.

There's something not right about it... I dunno... I need better pictures of it... I REALLY want to see the appendages on its abdomen. And where's the rest of its tail at? I would have sworn it was a little bit longer... and why didn't we see any shots of the parasites?

This looks like it's not a final design, or at least I hope it's not. Many of the proportions are pretty incongruous with what we saw in the film. One that isn't so much though, is the color.

In the film it's dark most of the time. When we see Hud looking up at MGP he's fully in it's shadow. In several of the shots MGP's skin looked ashen to me, which is a bit peculiar of a look. I suspect that this is supposed to look a bit more ashen white than fully saturated white. The kind of ashen skin I've seen would jive with these circumstances - looking more gray when dark, and looking more white when it's bright.

Also, look at his skin every time a missle hits him, it shows up VERY white. I thought it looked kinda wierd at first, but now I know why.
