What is the species/scientific name for MGP?
For all you biology nuts

Based on what you've seen, and how new animals are classified and given latin scientific names for his species, what is the correct biological scientific name for Mister Grumpy Pants?

Even Ripley's Aliens and Predator's have scientific names, and so does Godzilla

I used a translator, and went along with dinosaurish names(Ex: Tyrannosaurus= Tyrant Lizard)

Magnus Exilis Armo Extraneus
Or: Big Slender Armed Stranger, I'm trying to think of a better one.

*EDIT* and um, were gonna need a whole new Species for this guy, unless we wanna fit him under the Cetaceans, with whales and dolphins.

Let's go over his characteristics:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
He's Big, has, i guess, external and maybe internal lungs, no visible hair, small black eyes(small for his size), Carnivorous mouth, non-clawed hands, suggesting a non-violent nature possibly. Also he has large back feet, those combined with his long reaching arms suggests to me that when underwater he would pull himself along, using his gillish things to breathe.
I suppose he could be an omnivore, feeding off deep sea plant life like that algae that clings to deep sea vents feeding from heat, and then turn around and eat sperm whales as they dive for squid, and then he could eat the squid as well Laughing .

He sounds to me like a giant mammal. and his parasites would be
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Vicious, stomach exploding crustaceans, and Clover and the Crawlers(just my name for them) could have a symbiotic relationship. EX:

They cling to Clover and clean him and his wounds, and he keeps predators away because...well i dont think any animal would be idiotic enough to mess with Clover in his (?) Natural habitat

i dont know about the external lungs thing. i was thinking those things on the side of its head would be used more in the sense of how a frog croaks. it fills up these air badders and uses them to make sound. clover would need to have massive lungs for its size.

also i kinda think when they are in the helicopter it kinda looks like a manatee when it looks back and roars at the army. but its teeth kinda reminds me of a vampire bat.

it obviously eats whales as seen in the picture on 1-18-08.com. and humans from marlenes statement after they come out of the bodega when it passes.

im also assuming that it grew up in high pressure regions of the ocean, that would give it its tough skin thats able to resist the pressure blast from a 500 pound bomb.

when in the water im also assuming it uses only its tail and arms to swim. but when on the ocean floor it uses its little legs and arms(think like a lobster)>

im with my pulling along theory, but ya when partially submerged or not touching the floor it could use its tail.

but ya, you get a nice view of its foot when it stomped the tank, and
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
pretty clearly had claws.
and what of it's
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
secondary hands, i heard someone say they could be for mating, i think that too, 'cause they looked like suction cups, lol.

this guy is so awesome, he terrified me. not literally, but if he attacked like, Florida, because the Kaika station is off the FL coast, then i would be out there with my camera like, "YA!!!" then "OH SHI* RUN!!!!"

I like the idea of creating a new kingdom called Monstrum (Monster), lol

One I've given before...

EDIT (fixed my latin): Monstrum Grandis Profundus, meaning "large deep-sea monster"

Well I still say those orange things on his cheeks are methods of intimidation like some underwater animals. Don't forget, before hud got a close up of his face, you couldn't really see him using those, and before that too he got bombed to all hell, so he was probably pissed, which is why he used those cheeks, to show he was pissed!!
