Although my first posted thought was Pele' the former soccer superstar because it fit with the earlier football clue, I think that's not the right track because his name would be capitalized, and pele' wasn't capitalized in the email. So I'm leaning toward the skin translation from Portuguese now.

Capitalization doesn't mean anything.

Also, the skinlessjazz website isn't set to expire until Thursday, February 07, 2008 7:15:12 PM. Before that it was Jan. 22 and before that it was Jan. 11. Nothing has happened to that site since we found it.

We don't even know if it's connected seeing as how it as made back in May.

In general, proper names are capitalized. I've never seen Pele's name not capitalized. So we'll have to agree to disagree on this pele' reference being the athlete.

I just don't understand this group's fascination with material that, at the moment, is irrelevant. There is more pointing to Pele himself than the `` skin thing. ``

If you want to go that route, if it means `` skin ``, then it could be referring to skinless(at)48-hours.net. Why the automatic connection to skinlessjazz, when that hasn't been used for anything?

Oh, I see your point now, Ic. I didn't mean to restrict skin to skinlessjazz. Of course, it could relate simply to skinless, especially since some of the email responses are coming from skinless.

I did ask TM about skinlessjazz at one point. His reply was noncommittal but he did say we could look there for possible clues. So, it's been on my mind to check it often since he didn't flat out say it's not related.

As I've said though, that page has not changed since we found it. The source is the same, the coding is the same, the photo is the same.

The only change is the page's expiration date. Every time it comes to that date, it extends to another date.

Whatever the unknown significance of "pele''(imo-skin),it's most interesting because it contained two (undamaged) "e"s. Why are the other msgs without "e"s?

Sent a msg inquiring about the anagram "he finds twin beneath a mirror" and got a reply:"Your drams com bringing a mssag in a short tim. Watch thm closly."(Your dreams come bringing a message in a short time. Watch them closely.)

This msg is in the same vein as Phantom's unique msg:"Hide and seek in a house of mirrors. Play and all your dreams will come true." Dreams may refer to the "Foreclosure of a Dream" image on purgatorium.html, Ronnie's "dreams and nightmares" journal or a hidden vid on one of them.(imo)

Tiggs--your msgs are so nicely creepy toned. Wondering who this "guest" is.

When I got the pele' message, I smiled at the return of the vowels and took it as possible confirmation that the messages are coming from more than one person. With the exception of the "guest" reply that was a direct response, the rest strike me as being from the Dean Koontz Limited Edition Magic 8-Ball.

I did follow up on the pele' football/soccer connection since we had football tryout tape as a clue from Jagt, but it hasn't yielded anything useful.

amandel, I thought your anagram was amazing.
