It's only as pointless as every other thread is. People are interested in different theories on whether or not someone lived or died. If you don't like it, post in a thread you do like and just ignore this one.

Thanks for clarifying the properties of Slusho! though, I'm surprised Oli didn't actually know that.

I knew it in speculation. It was never confirmed that Slusho increased 'durability'.

Except none of the characters in the movie actually drank Slusho!.

It's just been approved by the FDA and hasn't even begun shipping. That's why Rob is moving to Japan, he's going to help them market it in America.

I think you'll find that Jason has indeed consumed Slusho!

Hud is dead, of course, but I still think his body was in one piece- despite of what his myspace page says (that might be a joke directed precisely to people making heated discussions like this one Smile ).

The reason I think his body would still be whole is to maintain a sort of inner consistency in the film. His friends must have a hope, no matter how small, that he still lives, to run to him instead of running away (with the monster still around). And they must run to him, otherwise they won't be able to also retrieve the camera (and keep the movie going).

I disagree with that only because in movies EVERYONE runs over to see if the person they love is still alive...its classic hollywood stuff...even if the guy is riddled with bullet holes theyll still do the run over and see if they are ok thing....
It was just meant to make it more tragic, thats all

Hollywood or no, would you run to take a good look of a mutillated stump of a body falling on the ground? With the Terrible Thing that split it in half it still nearby? I think that the body would still have a fairly intact look from a distance, in order for them to run to it (and Rob costantly shouting at him).

Not that it matters, of course. Hud is as dead as dead can be.

I think that the body was in one piece simply because they would want to show the other half in the background or something to indicate that he was chewed in half... I mean, There is not hint of him being in pieces... only our hopes that he would be. maybe there could have been a hole in his abdomen where a tooth went through him. But even then... where's the blood? That would have been another big hint that he wasn't just 'taste tested' and spit out.

I dont think that he was split in half...although i would like to know what had happened to our faithful narrator. I was simply stating a point about hollywood and the fact that that happens in lots of movies.

I heard someone saw some guts has it happens tho...maybe we can get a slow-motion of that or something? might solve that question

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing blood. I'm seeing it a 2nd time this weekend; I'll look out for it.

same here.

and I to seem to recall a speckle or two on his cheek... but I could be just placing that there in my mind. You'd also think that someone who just got lapped around in a giant mouth would have been a bit more... 'moist?' I don't even remember seeing his hair damp.

Yeah, I think I might have added the blood in my mind, too.

As for the "moist" thing, MGP might have just picked Hud up with his teeth, not touching him with his tongue or anything. Before someone says "dood, his teeth wud b wet 2, DUH!", his teeth may have been dry because they are exposed to the air all the time (at least the ones at the front of his mouth).

I remember blood on the face...but I also remember the same blood while they were crossing the buildings, when Hud turns the camera on himself...but maybe there was more?

Okay, so Jason had Slusho!, and most likely Rob. I hadn't seen those blogs.

But you do see Hud's detached arm as he's falling out of MGP's mouth. That's one thing I noticed after reading someone's comment here and seeing it again.

After seeing those HD pictures of MGP's face and mouth, I'm thinking that each of it's teeth is easily bigger than Hud. I wonder if MGP didn't actually chew on Hud, as much as actually kind of "gum" him to death. That might explain a lack of blood on Hud's body, but could also explain the "squishy" sounds when Hud is in MGP's mouth.

I know, I'm probably overthinking...and it's an unusual topic to be overthinking...
