I do have to say I'm happy and thankful that the actors obviously did their best to deliver a performance worth more than what I'm sure they were paid. I hope it serves to give them some higher paying roles. I'm also glad Abrams, Reeves, and all the rest of the production team didn't give in to more conventional methods and mechanisms. We got a much better production because of that.

I suppose this ought to be a 'Thank You' card thread for the folks that made the film, and we might hope to have them read it.

totally. i loved this and it was a completely original monstrous monster movie.
a reinvention of all things cool.

i felt that i had lived through the event and that the people who died (marlena, hud etc.), had really died. the events that took place felt so surreal. and its amazing, eeverything from the cam jamming at the bombing under the bridge to how fast marlena died was so so real.

jj has succeeded with Cloverfield. everyone of the crew did. Very Happy

I must say that I rarely ever go to the movies, but when I was walking out of the theater Sunday night after seeing this, I actually thought to myself, "That movie was worth paying to see".
