They're just taking their time doing a quality job of horribly dubbing it with voiceovers. It's only fair.

I think a worldwide simultaneous release is only used for bigger budget pictures? I think that Paramount has all along misunderstood and underappreciated the power of online interactive marketing. I'm not sure why - I think it has to do with not respecting the audience, but it may just be lack of experience and ignorance. Maybe they were concerned by the Snakes on a Plane experience...but i don't remember Snakes on A Plane having an interactive viral component that 1-18-08 has used.

Maybe it is too expensive to do a world wide release unless you are sure the film will do well?
