I cant recall ever seeing sonar images of land masses, or at least landmasses that weren't underwater. What would be the point of using sonar to show Manhattan?

Yeah, it is probably a coincidence. But it's funny, I remembered what someone posted on CloverfieldClues, when the sonar image was up:

Interesting note: Looking at "Tagruato Son-Air Bld.18 Rev 1a"
Led me to look up Revelation 18:1.
The Fall of Babylon.
Read it all here: http://www.apocalipsis.org/rev-18.htm
Also hello everyone!

Reasons why it's not a coincidence:
1. the "hotspots" are over areas of particular attention by the monster.
2. The image allows for the gap of the water on both sides, even to the point of a small island off the southmost tip of the land-mass that's the primary focus of the image.
3. See #1, just look at the overlay, it just matches up to well to not be intentional.

Reason's why it's a coincidence.
1) The sonar image doesn't look at all like manhatten
2) The straight line in the image (the only clue we have) doesn't match anything in that picture of manhatten
3) You can't take a sonar image of manhatten, from space, from plane, from anywhere
4) The images were sent labeled "Sonar_1" and "Sonar_2" and come from an app called sonair

So why on earth would they send us thermal images from a monster attack that happens a month away (we got the pictures in dec.) named SONAR, from an applet called SONAIR?
Really, I don't see how you guys are making this connection, someone explain it to me in layman's terms.

i'm goin to throw this out there... some 'type' of thermal image that shows consumption of Slusho! drink. brighter areas = more concentration of course. must be a way to track the stuff. how else could the monster find whoever drank it. the monster was found by Tagruato and they found that it fed on that stuff, and maybe they set it on NY... as a test - using it as a weapon??
-thoughts?

For the FINAL time. Slusho JUST got FDA approval and is NOT sold in the US at the time of the attack. Sorry for the outburst.

I don't think so at all. As far as I'm concerned the sonar pics are really the only one's that we haven't figured out how they're connected. They may very well be the missing puzzle piece between ocean splash, chuai station, and monster attack.

Probably none. Tagruato states that SBN is found very deep and cold, hence why they have to put it in a cold drink and store it cold. The attack on NEw York doesn't appear to be a function of SBN, when you look at the location of Chuai. NYC is almost lateral to it, although NY is very unlucky if MGP went straight for it. Unless, and this isn't something I have heard about, the Tagruato tanker was carrying SBN to NY for the upcoming release of Slusho. I doubt this is the case but who knows. Brainstorming will maybe get us closer to the truth.

Hah, wouldn't that be funny, MGP is just a part of an advertising campaign from Tagruato that went horribly wrong. They were just bringing him here to help sell Slusho! And then he had to go and destroy the city
