One: From what I saw, they still seem shellshocked, and didn't look to their left (where the monster either already was standing or was walking towards to check on the helicopter) until it was too late.

Two: Am I the only one who saw Hud actually being split in half and his intestines falling out for a split second?

Also, I can understand why this film is the equilevant of R-Rating here. Some pretty horrific stuff in it, even if most of it's only suggested. Absolutely loved it though, well worth the hype.

I have been thinking about this ... I spent 7 years on the NBL BMX circuit in Florida and have had 12 Concussions, 4 cases of whiplash and road rash that would have made Marlena envious. I think under the circumstances I am Qualified as an expert on this particular matter


But Trust me if your head gets hit hard enough the entire Giants defensive unit could sneak up on you driving Mack Trucks full of Exploding M-80s and you would not notice.

Just some of the effects I encountered from my Concussions. Ringing in the ears -Blured Vison - Disorentation and Confusion (which is also why I think Hud Froze) These effects can leave one dazed for several minutes or even longer Therefore it is quite probable that MGP approched Rob and Party unnoticed, unlikely but still possible.

BTW thanks starshiptrooper for reminding me about that Post I forgotten about it and spent a good 10 minutes laughing just now. Just need an I Love Ponies Also to show up now

Hadn't we heard MGP's stomping pretty close to them many time through the preceeding night? The distraction of getting out of the flaming wreckage of a helicopter after being pummeled around in it during the crash seems to be enough disorientation to not notice the not-roaring, not being shot at MGP.

Edit: After looking at the "Drawing of MGP" topic, I realized something: MGP's eyes are really...scary. It's like...they resemble something familiar, but at the same time, they're just different enough to be unrecognizable. For something so huge, its eyes are pretty good at emoting, because, damn, that thing looked pissed at Hud.

I wanted to see MGP eat someone, but I didn't think it would be Hud. Poor guy...maybe they can wheel his torso around on a wheelchair for the sequel...

Well anythings possible in movies. I didn't really even see him get chewed up....when he was falling it sorta looked like his arm was cut off but the camera was falling at the same rate has his arm. His camera strap was on him during the entire scene so....yeah I'm not so sure he was chewed up....but....I think the fall could have killed him. But like I said anything could happen....maybe the sequel could start out with Hud pulling rob, beth, and the camera out of the rubble.....I can only wish....

Not to mention that he fell for several seconds. That would have meant he was several stories into the air. So if the actually part about being food didn't kill him, the fall definitely would have.
