He must've slipped between his teeth.
(Yes, it's a Decemberists reference, so sue me).

The only reason Garfield would win is because he drank the Slusho!

Hud isn't coming back.
Unless, that is, J.J. decides to add more humor to the formula by adding in a Weekend at Bernies sub-plot.
Maybe they could stick his torso on an office chair, and wheel him around with the camera strapped on top of his head.
"He...he...*sniffle*...said he wanted to show them how it went down...*sob*...and we're not letting his dream die with him...*snort*."

I want to go to you're theater (in a time machine of course) and yell "FIRE" right as the movie began and see all the morbidly obese people in rascals try to wheel themselves out faster than one another. Hud fucking owned.
And also....he really wasn't fat. I've seen it twice, and I think calling him "overweight" might even be a stretch. He was a little big... as far as I could tell, as you only saw him twice. For like three seconds each time.

he is a bit over-weight... but that's what J.J. Abrams/Matt Reeves was looking for. He's sort of your 'every-man' regular guy.

And he did loose a considerable amount of weight in his final scene.

I have mixed feelings about HUD's final scene. Mainly because the entire time before seeing the movie you get this massive anticipation of seeing the monster and then it's like "Oh.. what the fuck? How the hell does he walk on those spindly things?" And the lack of blood from HUD was a bit unnerving. Terminator from the future, anyone?
I do like the lack of on-screen deaths, though. The Marlena death, even though you know what happens to her, the fact that it wasn't really shown leaves the imagination to infer the rest. I wasn't exactly sure what happened to her. Did she go all Willy Wonka on us? did he just start shooting blood out? I never could figure it out. Of course, I've only been once.
The entire HUD scene just seemed kinda thrown in there to show HUD's death. Like, why the hell did the monster just peace out afterwards?
Looking forward to an unrated DVD. And the 100 dollar action figure

LeithNoweder if your there everyone I saw the movie with and the whole theatre hated him. He talked way to much, he is obese and ugly. He repeatedly would say the same things over and over. Nobody in the movie listened to him because they didn't find him funny. His humor was that of a child and if you liked it you a mindless lemming. Nice hoodie you little bundle of sticks I bet you think you're really cool telling me what to do. Your threat is very intimidating are you and your little internet bundle of sticks from this forum going to come and beat me up. Huds probably the kind of guy you like to have sex with you little unusual individual . I'm sorry he was threatening me. So now you your going to ban me when he was swearing at me??? cmon

This is precisely why we shouldn't allow those below the age of 12 to post here.
Edited a step further. Spelling counts, but so does accuracy. Remember: Make the problem better, not worse. - E

Hud's death was the one scene that didn't mesh for me. The close-up, with the size looking totally off (I know what Reeves says, but it still makes no sense), and the details (how the heck did that monster sneak up on them without them noticing this 80 story beast a few seconds earlier?
I wish they had killed Hud in the helicopter crash, and left the close-up scene out.
Graham, I think you're crazy. Everyone is my theater loved him; he got alot of tension-relieving laughs.

Saying that you are 12 is hardly a threat, it's merely stating a fact.
Hud provided comic relief in a movie that had little of it. Even if you thought his jokes were stupid, it was relieving to have a moment where you're not thinking of the slusho 7 getting pwned by mgp.

Ruh roh. Someone's headed for a ban-a-roonie.
PS. Did Mommy let Billy play on the 'puter?
Edited yet another quote. Quoting the disruption verbatim just amplifies the voice. Ignoring silences it. - E
