By googling on David Waite, I found this website: http://www.wbabin.net/

I didn't recognize any of the names there, but it seemed to be on topic for our game. So I emailed Walter Babin, the guy running the site:

Do you know Dr. Zeladzny at New River University? I am trying to find out how to contact him, and your areas of research seem to overlap a little.

Babin replied by sending me the web page for the physics faculty at New River University that contains Zeladzny's contact info. It was titled "Physics.htm" and was just like a screen shot of that page. So I think wbabin.net is possibly in game.

I emailed him back asking for a different contact:

Thank you for the information. The university web servers are not accepting outside mail due to the sobig.f virus. Do you know of any other means to contact Dr. Zeladzny besides his university email?

I could be wrong, but my guess is that, being the nice fellow he is, he actually tried to help you by googling the name Zeladzny, which only returns 3 hits, one of which is the page he sent you. He probably then saved the source and attached it to the email reply.

There is certainly a chance all of this could be in-game, but if he's not, and I look at the situation from his perspective, that's exactly what I'd do. I'd find a website that gave you what you asked for (contact information for the Dr), and then pass it along...

 		I agree dishboy, esp. given they are in the same "field". I would also do the same thing. (Not to say it's a definite out-of-game person...never...lol...because we know how saying something like that can come back to bite you on the butt!)

I guess I need more evidence to believe these people are in-game (but that's just me...so no offence to those who are digging into this, you're doing a great job!)

Since there isn't an available phone number for NRU at the moment, I think we can safely say he's not playing the game. I *did* email "administration@nru.us" to get a department phone number, though.
We'll see if I get bounced by the auto-response. I'm thinking we may have more luck with NRU after the semester starts on 9/21/03.
