i think its just a coincidence?
cause there was a heli shot of the monster and the shape of its body was similar.

If this were meant to be related it would at least cover 3/4 of the island and follow the outline of the island better. It's purely coincidence.

You can't sonar New York, Sonar only works underwater so unless New York sunk you wouldn't get its shape.

But if a cloverfield trivia question solved the clue in these images. (Remember, they were named sonar on line by the players)
