re: splash
what splash?

I have NEVER seen any indication of any object falling into the ocean from this pic or similar pics. There is a ship on the right and what might be considered some kind of white water activity behind the ship but it looks simply like the wake from that ship. I am anxious to see a clear HD version of this scene. I didn't catch it in the theater.

can someone please circle the damn splash? i dont see it, and 'close to the horrizon' doesnt help either. the water is the horizon, and there isnt much water in the shot.

Guys dont get all worked up about not seeing the splash, I don't even believe this is the right frame with the splash in it.

When I went the second time I saw a clear black object falling and a tiny splash closer to the boat.

regardleSs of whether Or not you can see a splash in that pic (or any others), it's definitely there. i was as big a skeptic as anyone and questioned on other foruMs thE idea of someThing falling in tHe water at the end. so I went aNd saw the movie aGain last night. and there DEFINITELY is something that falls In the ocean, juSt To tHe lEft of the ship.

what it is is totally up to speculation. but whetheR or not it's thEre is not.

Anyone know where HIGH QUALITY footage of this scene is available online? All I've ever seen is YouTube-type crap that's useless for making out any object falling.

Go watch it again. I didn't catch it in the theatre the first time either, but the second time i knew where to look and it's very obvious. There shouldn't be any speculation about this whatsoever, there's definitely something falling from the sky followed by a splash.

I think people are forcing them selfs to see this.....

The 'splash' is a whitecap made by the boat..... whitecap is a small wave that breaks just a little on top to create white foam and bubbles.

Just before the camera turns to focus on him and her... there is another whitecap just behind the boat. If you compare that whitecap to the 'splash' they look identical.

My conclusion.... 'splash' = whitecap (wave) made by the boat

And the big black thing falling from the sky? That's one hell of a white cap...

I saw the splash and I wasn't looking for anything special during that scene. That's most likely the main signifigance of the video being in the hands of the government in the first place. There was already footage of the monster and his [her?] parasites from the news in the film. "Do not duplicate" would make sense for the splash at the end. Otherwise whatever. In theory, the whole world would've seen the footage taped at the time of the attack.

Angel, 5 times seeing, I have seen it every single time. There is an object and a splash. The object is quite large in comparison to the boat, but can't tell what it is.
