I know where the monster came from and why it is here.

Cloverfiled monster = MGP

MGP is a new breed of Terminator, from the future, after Sarah Conner and her unborn son. That's right, it's Ahh-nalds newer cousin. MGP is a biologically engineered Terminator with regeneration skills (think Wolverine). He is indeed a baby, who was recently weaned into a hostile environment. Hello world!

Why would the next generation of Terminator be a live entity? Economics! Why build a factory and use materials to build a robot when you can just give birth for much cheaper? It's just a cocktail of DNA, chemistry and energy. In the future, I'd imagine resources like alloy are limited. Surely robots could appreciate the logic of using a biological resource (think The Matrix). MGP is hatched and incubated near the mother who basically lives like the queen of a bee hive (think Aliens). After a measured amount of time, MGP is used as a weapon. He's new in town, and doesn't get along with anyone.

The parasites are by design. They live off of MGP's blood. They bite the skin and inject a pathogen, which cause the blood close to the bite to hemorrhage. The parasites drink it up. Naturally they would try to hide in natural creases in MGP's skin, where it is dark. I'd imagine that's why the subway was so attractive to them. Due to MGP's size, this is a mild skin irritation. For a human (Marlena), the reaction is catastrophic. Therefore, when MGP is unleashed on a planet with life similar in size to earth, it's a deadly combo. He stops to scratch and releases "soldiers" into the proverbial field.

Tagurato is a front owned and operated by the bad dudes in the future. They are aware of an abundant resource on Earth that we are not. Sea bed nectar is the most nutritious substance in the known universe. I say known universe because apparently there is a really popular and exclusive underground place called heaven, where there are 27 virgins for each person and life is very tolerable. But know one can prove it exists. Its one of those "if you have to ask, you don't need to know" things.

Anyway, in small quantities, sea bed nectar acts like the designer drug ecstasy (think Jamie's vids). In large concentrated quantities, it can provide nutrition for a large population like humans, or one big beotch, like MGP. The combination of DNA, some stem cells, sea bed nectar, and enough energy yields a bad ass mofo.

Sarah Conner is General in TIDOwave, a known terrorist organization operating out of a rent stabilized walk up on Mulberry St. She has no on-screen part in this movie, however she was in Manhattan at the time of the attack. In fact, she is the target of the attack. Sara and her terrorists friends are obviously trying to escape the Terminator/MGP, but they are also avoiding the Military. As I said, they are a KNOWN terrorist organization. Ron and crew have the bad luck of crossing paths with this assassination attempt.

 		your theory is abstract. but backed up with very logical and scientific proof. i disagree simply because i believe this movie is meant to be new and different. a whole new original idea. not a spawn off of a previously done film(s). but your theory is well appreciated on my part. best thought out evidence i have heard.

Shiiiiiiiit, maybe the mysterious falling object in the ocean was a Predator craft going to the bottom of the sea to their submerged Mayan temple!!

Check it out, the Terminator has never been a big monster before. This is a new idea!

it would have to be Nine Inch Nails or Blind melon. GNR was already done. now they need a rival band or a band which GNR found. Razz
