Since the message reads:"Mirrors have(plural) friends" etc.,it's feasable that there's a different intention here. Anyway,we can't expect The Mirror to stress out trying to be clairvoyant about cryptic Front Dsk msgs... Smile

Oh thank god. I mean, I LOVE the idea that I might be important (love that idea. love love love it.), but I'd HATE to fail to come up with the right answer and let everyone down. Didn't someone get the message that the truth is under the mirror? Cause there aint nuthin under me but the bench at this Perkins restaurant that I've been loitering at. It makes tons of sense that it's NOT all about me (damn it Wink) but about some real mirror.

What other mirrors have there been? How about metaphorical mirrors. Maybe the note is referring to all of us: we all look in the mirror and see ourselves, therefore we all already have the answers?

I have a couple of observations....

First of all, in reference to a message that Flux got earlier today:
Quote:
I got a response from frnt dsk "Wish to analyz m? That would b just fin.

Whn the sun sts, look to drk placs. Tim to gt prsonal.
This correspondence has me thinking of personals such as those in a newspaper. Should we be looking for/placing ads in newspaper personals sections? Maybe some of the web-based ones? This message uses both the word sun and time. Chicago Sun-Times maybe?

Secondly, the style of these messages (not using the letter E) reminds me of a book I once read about it in The Book of Lists many years ago... The book is titled Gadsby, and the entire novel (50,000+ words) is written without using the letter E. Not once. For more info... http://www.spinelessbooks.com/gadsby/

Petunia, that's very cluey thiking--especially if the extra line anagram is "Beneath he finds a twin mirror" Cool

Gilmourw, mega thanks, your post reminded me of an essay about IS,logic and creativity mentioning not only Gadsby but other e-less work, most importantly a french book which was "translated into English in 1995 as The Void."
All those "Speak into the Void" messages must have some crucial significance. What though?

Found this movie called "The Void," whose cast includes Adrian Paul and Frank Cipriano. Adrian and Frank are two names found in the skinlessjazz source code. If you check out some of the photos, http://www.adrianpaul.net/, I think it's possible Adrian Paul could be Brody. While he doesn't look like the guy in the green chair at the HRC, he looks somewhat like the sketch in V's journal. He may not be the right age for Brody, but then I've never had a good fix on Brody's age. What do you think?

I sent an email asking if doublesided tape was refering to skgfilms.com then I realized it did and sent this email.

"wait. I think I got it. the picture on the 2nd to last page thats drawn in the eyes and mouth? is that brody?"

I got this in response: "look closr

not drawn in"

I responded with: "what is it? make-up? some kind of shadow? it looks like he has black around his eyes and his lips."

they responded with: "burning"

I said: "are you saying burning as in those are burn marks? or burning as in I am getting close to figuring it out?"

I'm still waiting for a reply.

Not certain as I'm a very new Photoshop user, but I think this refers to using the burn tool to darken something in an image.

gilmourw, very good idea to think of checking the personals in the Sun Times.

Thinking that for story-line purposes we're to beleive that the burning on the Brody photo and the scrawl almost etched on to the adjacent page were done by hand(lightened matches?),expressing really fevered rage.
The bloody fingerprints there are also pretty telling.

It's good to know that people read the threads and listen to other members here.

Bang Head

Tres, if you look at what was originally said (the "story") you'll see that adrain is refered to as "she".

Quote:
Well, we can deduce that Adrain is female

Quote:
her eyes showing the subtlest signs of impending tears.

As for Frank, all I can think of is the bunny from Donnie Darko o.O
- Quoting myself by the way.

Hopefully, someday, i'll be able to stop banging my head off this wall.

(and I apologise for sounding slightly "Ic"-ish, but I'm sick of saying stuff on this forum and being completely ignored by all and sundry. /rant)
