It just proves you're a failed diplomat. You inserted yourself where you weren't needed and in turn caused us to lose the extra two minutes we would have had with him.

nobody is baiting ANYBODY. People are too quick to take offense. We are talking about the conversation with Icon, what clues we got from it, and how to maximize our clues in later conversations. I think it's important to note what DOESN'T work in PM conversations (without making it into a fight or a soap opera) and find solutions to those problems. I propose diplomats. I won't be offended if my proposal gets rejected.

Icarus, incidentally, I DO respect honesty. Please accept my honest reaction to this Icon conversation for what it is: an honest reaction to an ineffective conversation. Let's figure out how to make it go better next time.

Ok, so I make a mistake. I admit it and move on.

Your whole personality is a mistake, Icarus. The way you treat people, the way deal with people, and you take so much pride in it and it has hurt this group much more than any honest mistake I've made in the past, which was all done in hopes of helping the group. You just don't seem to give a damn.

Fact is fact, Leith. The only thing you've done to amount to anything in this game is find it. I've done more than you. I take pride in my persona, I take pride in how I act and I certainly take pride in pissing you off.

LOLOL...

A couple things:

1) If they did not want Tim around they would have banned him long ago. If I were ICON, and everyone tried to brown nose, I would welcome some brashness.

2) Words like "professionalism" and "diplomat" are being thrown around. Its a game, not a job. With the exception of the Overseer, we have repeatedly been encouraged to say what we want, when we want when talking with the PMs. Not allowing IC to speak would defeat the purpose of the game

3) Leith, if I remember correctly, when spokespeople were needed it was always me, Tim and Brian who volunteered or who were asked. Don't rest on your laurels quite yet my friend.

Leith, I continue to nominate you and Will as diplomats, if others are open to the idea of diplomats. Let's change gears and move forward with the Icon problem.
I just got an email saying
Mayb you should tll m first?
and I'm not clever enough to know what the hell he wants me to tell him. Ideas?
