[SPEC] mgp's teeth and gums

i have a theory about mgp's mouth. it has a set of outer gums and teeth like us. but it also has a inner set of teeth in order to pull prey in and keep ahold of it. its kinda like a boa constrictor or anaconda. they have a set of inner teeth that walk up the snakes catch and help it swallow. so maybe mgp can takle pray much larger than it (ie the whales on the beach). maybe it doesnt swallow it whole, but it gets as much as i can wth each bite.

Somebody's gonna trout this, but until then:

I think you're thinking along the lines of the Alien movies more than snakes. I have a set of inner teeth just like snakes. I call 'em molars. Snakes don't have a very different oral configuration than any other animal, except that the two sides of their bottom jaw are not connected at the front.

I think what moviebuff meant was 2 concentric sets of teeth. A bit like the Alien but without the extending bit.... does that make sense?

Yes. You mean like two rows, right?

Re: mgp's teeth and gums

One issue I have with your theory is that the whales on the beach aren't larger than MGP - they're much smaller. MGP is listed at anywhere from 25-35 stories tall, and most sperm whales are about 60-70ft (6-7 stories) long.

That's a badass shot of the monsters mouth. Too bad the inside of the mouth looks really fake.

Shoop'd.

Not really, but it looks so damn much like it, I wish I could just pretend it was.

Houcha magoucha, that's scary. It looks insectile in that picture. I always forget what the thing looks like until I see a picture again. Great screencap!

i was watching a special on giant constrictor snakes like the anaconda awhile back. they have 2 sets of teeth. the ones on the inner part of the mouth can move and pull the kill into the mouth while the bottom jaw dislocates and opens wider to acomidate the size of the pray.

now that i see the pic of mgp i was wronge. it was just that in the movie and in the trailer, it goes by so fast it sorta looks like it has a inner and outer row of teath.
