[HUMOR] Memories of the way we were.....
RANDOM POSTS FROM THE BEGIN

JULY 9, 2007 - OK...someone mentioned that we might want to look at what Abrams said to Harry Knowles...he capitalized three words ASS THAT FOUND... so silly me, I decided to try and find some anagrams for those words... I am still working on it, but I do know that "donut" or "donuts" can be made with those words...didn't someone say they saw donuts at the filming site for the "slusho" movie?? Just a probably wild goose....but who knows....

JULY 13 2007 - Alrite on the page at 1-18-08.com If you press TAB three yellow boxes show up, If you move the pictures do them, they get smaller and surround the pictures.I think there is a formation which will reveal sompthing so some Help yup. -OOyaOO

JULY 19, 2007 - I think that everyone is focusing way to much on the clock. I used to work in retail and if there are clocks for sale you always set them to 10:10. Because... and I know this sounds rediculous... it makes them look happy. Because no one wants to buy a mean looking clock.

JULY 26, 2007 - Monster heads in clouds
I see monster heads in the clouds of the poster
Might just be me but I see a fire breathing dragon and a "banshee" above it. on the right top corner. The dragon has canine teeth clearly.

JULY 28, 2007 - Whatever it is...
Is tall enough to reach the SOL's head without touching the body of the statue...but short enough not be seen over the buildings in the trailer.
Unless it was crouched down? Maybe?

JULY 30, 2007 - [META] Why?
Why couldn't it be Godzilla
I recently saw some news on a movie titled, Godzilla vs. Japanese Godzilla so i was wondering if anyone thought this maybe that movie?

Go ahead and add your own. Perhaps it will help out newbies not to point out that neat new site, just discovered called slusho.jp

BTW, these are not my posts, they are from the archive.

Well, the minotaur theory has been going around now, and the book House of Leaves has to do with minotaurs.

Well, I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but "House of Leaves" is on Lil's book list on her myspace page. Link: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=201293524

Could this prove the minotaur theory?

I'm ashamed.

I was hung up on "The Beast from 20,000 fathoms" forever... even after J.J. Abrams said that it wasn't a remake.

I really liked the proto-whale idea, but that seems to have a chance in hell now. I think the pic of dead whales may have been a little of an editorial comment on that.

And uh, I'm moving this thread to the correct forum.

When the creature appears on screen, my wife says "what is that?"

"A lion."

The people behind me couldn't stop laughing after that.

Does anyone else remember that huge quiet period before the trailer came out before Beowulf? We were just looking through everything, I think some people even started looking at the hair goblin picture again. I think I became a proper member halfway through the lull.

btw, did we at any point truly believe it could be a lion?

Here's one from me way back in July!!!!
Oh the irony of it alll!

Are we still calling this a "possible" ARG?
Just curious cause the focus has seemed to shift a bit, in a good way imho to film locales and such. I love it but now wonder if they originally were going to make this an ARG but once the trailer/teaser hit so BIG with a lot of people, they have backed off.

Hope not.

Peace.

I'm hoping the ARG is over.

But god, back in the day... it was so amazing. I really miss it.

Yeah magic, the old days were the best.

Alot of you were not around for the drought that lasted basically all of august and september, but we had some good times back then.

I actually enjoyed those weeks more than the rest of this ARE. We were like a family, and then hackergate happened and well...
