The "garble" must be more than just garble. Discuss.

My best guess from the letters is either complicated rot or vigenere.

Yep. For rot, I use the uf page: http://www.unfiction.com/resource/rot-it/
But it's not a simple one where each letter is rotated the same amount. It may be one letter is rotated 3 times, the next 5, or something weird like that.
Vigenere: http://www.purplehell.com/cgi-bin/riddles/vigenere.pl
Same kind of concept as rot, but you need a password to decode it.
Or it may be simple substitution. Each word has 3 letters so I'm guessing they have been regrouped into 3's to make it harder to guess words (if it's substitution).

I did a quick rot and came up with nothing (that I saw). Link is here, FYI: http://www.unfiction.com/resource/rot-it/

It may not be, but it's definitely not an anagram, too many rare letters. And when you use rot, you get a lot of rare letters like x's z's w's.
Same with vigenere.
We had these type of puzzles in the human pet alot. But he would rot one letter X times, the next one X-2 times, or whatever... so it didn't always pop out at you.

I was wondering when this ARG was going to go the "let's encrypt something" route. Thank God Bex has that handy Vigenere cypher application on her phone!
Traditional ROT comes up with nothing worthwhile.
Maybe it *is* random garble?

*Realistically* I don't think it'd be Vig cypher, but I could certainly be wrong. Why are the letters grouped into 3s? It makes me think of cell phone keys, as most of them have 3 letters per key... Hmm... Just thinking out loud here.

Yeah that's a good idea. I may be trying all the wrong things because I'm used to a different game

Remember, the Doc said that she "has free run of the house on rest days". She has the time to figure out a cypher with her free time.

Nice work! I saw that @bash thing, and I'm like, "WTF is that?" I requested to follow whoever bash is, thinking it would lead to a clue. I was off track. lol
So yeah, I wonder who this girl really is...

@Bash could mean talking to someone named Bash, or At Bash, which just happens to be the name of a cipher. It's where you fold the alphabet in half, put the top half on top of the bottom. Then to translate you find the corresponding letter... it's kinda hard to explain : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atbash
