Email. Kinda found it intresting, XD

I had been talking to her and she said :
Quote:
It's nice to see some fire left in one of you. I feel poor, poor
Clementine must've been broken.

How quickly even the dedicated surrender.

And I see you've left me a challenge. A race, then? Well, you may be
fortunate in this - a head start, possibly? While we now know that you do
not possess Morcar (for who would suffer the loss of such a dear
acquaintance and not give up a worthless husk), we have little else to go
on.

...Oh...excluding the resources of the Queen.

Good luck, then.

Yesterday I asked her about the race being a draw:

Me:
Quote:
It looks as though we have a draw as to our "Race". Oh well, It was a good run was it not?

Her:
Quote:
A draw now? Well it seems I may still walk away the prize. You can keep
the bragging rights if you wish.

Have a lovely evening,
Delilah

They explained how in their press release.
That's all we have to go by right now.

But how'd they get into the room. I believe the only one who went in was Delilah. Right?

There was a time when Edwin and the Queen's Envoy/Delilah were all down in the lobby. Long enough for Korp to move in and steal a unattended Morcar and box.

-I doubt I'm the first one to receive this in a message, but here it is!

Quote:
-Dear Delilah,

It was brought to my attention that you are not a formal part of the Deck. That begs the question, "If the Knaves and lower cards act as envoys and messengers for the royalty, why would the Queen pick someone outside of the Deck to represent her?"

As we have not been formally introduced, I am Psyche. I find myself fascinated with the idea that I'm speaking to a former card. What was that like?

P.-

Forgive my relative silence this evening. I will be over the ocean on my
way to NY. If time permits, I will communicate more before the Queen's
address.

She intends to present herself for a brief audience tomorrow evening.

As for being a former member of the deck...where is your information
coming from?

-Surely you can understand that my source must remain confidential. No fair peeking.
I must confess that I am a bit jealous of those with direct interaction with the Deck. Especially those that currently or previously retain a rank therein.

P.-

My conversation so far has been pretty uneventful:

Hey there Delilah by the Plain White T's

[Here I put in the lyrics to the song mentioned above.]

A bad song for a bad person.

From Persia,
With Love

No reply for sometime.

WWIS wrote:
No response? No come-back? Please, give me something to work with. It's no fun to insult a wall.

Delilah wrote:

A response...dignity not truly deserved.

Now, write your own song...

I'm not that good yet. =

But on to a more serious note:
I apologize for my lack of manners. I have not introduced myself. My name is Kavé. It is nice to meet you Delilah, although it is unfortunate that we have to meet under such... pressured conditions. I would also like to apologize for my harshness. You see, I don't take kindly to those who punish my comrades for such... meaningless offenses. I also tend to clash with those who are controlling and, even, corrupt such as your so called "queen".

And yes you can write that down for the record. Mr. Kavé bows down to no queen, especially, the queen of Information.

You can even put and asterisk next to it.

You see, I was fond of Edwin. I considered him particularly interesting among the rest of the deck. He is a good man who is only looking out for the safety of his brother. Despite this you accuse him of treachery. These are false pretenses. Edwin was worried about Morcar and was unsure if you were truly sent by the queen. I mean no offense, but your methods were very suspicious. You threaten to bring worse punishment to Morcar. I understand that Morcar should be punished. He did commit a crime. He was treacherous. But I believe that the queen may take it too far.

As for Jonah, well this I can say I truly do not comprehend. You have taken a friend from us so that you may punish us indirectly. Sure. As you might have guessed, the Passangers have not taken a liking to this sentence and we wish for Jonah to be released. Obviously, this won't happen. So now I ask you a question, I know you do not press your queen but I am wondering if she has divulged any details to you. And if so, could you divulge me? I know you have no reason to accept such a request, but I hope, in some way, we may be able to make a... deal of sorts?

I hope to get a reply form you soon Delilah. And hopefully it will be longer than my name this time.

I also hope that we may push through this time and hopefully overcome what I can only wish is a great misunderstanding.
Here's to one day meeting under better circumstances.

Respectfully yours,
Kavé P.

I have no idea as to what what compelled me to write so much.

Delilah wrote:
Ah...so we finally drift to more business-appropriate language.

You probably know this already...I can't give you the information you
seek. I'm sure you'll read it on the front page of Times.

I have to catch a plane. Forgive my curt demeanor but I have to run.

Have a lovely day
Delilah

WWIS wrote:
This is the response I was expecting. Although it isn't the one I wish I had got.
So you can speak of the queens wishes. That is understandable.
May I ask you personal questions? Or would I get a similar response?

I hope you have a lovely flight.
Kavé

Delilah wrote:

To personal questions? Ask away. No guarantees on a response but I'll
consider it.

WWIS wrote:
Are you or have you ever been part of the communist party?

Excuse my jesting. You are not a card now but were you ever at once part of the deck?

At risk of starting the slippery slope of a witch-hunt for further corruption amongst the deck and passengers..."Write your own song" seems to echo 2D's week. I'm not entirely sure how to view that statement, because it's definitely not one The Korporation would make, yet at the same time it injures trust in the intent of the deck if their ideals are being uphelp by hostagers.

Also, we would like for you ask Jonah what two words he and Ashra say to one another.

Unless you'd like to retract a bluff.

Thank you again for your time.

Her reply:
Quote:

May I remind you of the hour? All of your efforts are appreciated, but
irrelevant until someone is actually watching.

Ashra, "you know". Sound familiar?

Quote:

Well, that was quite a lot of wasted space. Has the effort reached your
desired end?

The Queen was amused by the Passengers' request. She will consider
granting an audience once a very important business transaction has been
completed.

I have been instructed to be of assistance to the extent I choose to be.

And just this morning --

Me:
Quote:
Delilah,

I'm exhausted with this cat-and-mouse game. As far as I'm concerned, you've really got nothing to offer us and likewise in regards to the Passengers. Whatever you and the Queen have planned should have happened already. The 'business transaction', yes?

So, if not -- what's the delay? If so -- why haven't you gloated?

As far as I'm concerned, I'm placing myself into 'spectator' category right now. I don't have time for this mindless banter. Let me know when the Passengers can actually do something for you other than just be amusing.

Her reply:
Quote:
Things have been delayed but for good reason. The Queen has new plans.
As you wish.

Actually, now that I've gathered what I need, I mostly just find this fun
anyways. Sorry you don't.

Thank you.

And I enjoy hearing your perspective. Hired gun? I've been accused of
playing both sides. Many feel I'm the 6. I won't answer any of that of
course (how could you look at me in the morning?).

I respect The Korporation. They have amassed amazing power...mostly
through human gullibility. I admire the Queen for her ruthlessness.

But frankly...both entities are really flawed. Neither will truly control
everything because their associations make them vulnerable.

Mine are beginning to test my patience.

Yes...my position is a bit, unusual. I've enjoyed hearing the
speculation. Your source (Smile) is making a bold statement I only wonder if
he knows what he's getting himself into.

I actually admire the passengers. Though some are giving up, most seem to
be strong and bold. Amusing how quickly so many surrender though.

By my count, it's been 3 days since this began. How many months have your
group progressed? To see some whither away...precious.

A little silence can be a wrecking ball in the right hands - especially
when I am granted more power by your group than I've been given by so
many.

Sewing the seeds of unrest! This tastes so sweet!

Have a lovely evening,
Delilah

Oh...and the Queen plans her address for this evening. She's being a pain
though and not being clear about time yet. I'll try and get the word out
as she decides.

As she's gotten me into "Serious Psyche" mode, I've held back from the jokes for the moment:

Quote:
-I'm not so sure that there are many that are surrendering, so much as losing interest in the matter. We are well aware of the Korporation's acquirement of Morcar and the Box, and the core of our community remains vigilante in our attempts to find a solution.

I find myself unsurprised that you take pleasure in the anguish of others. That was made quite plain in your emails to other Passengers. I am also not surprised in your gloating. Those that crave power often build pedestals to rest their ego on. But don't forget the adage about pride coming before a fall. This petty attempt by the Queen to gain control is a temporary thing, just as everything else that man (or Card) does.

Silence may be used like a wrecking ball by some, but there is something about the saying "calm before the storm" that resonates with everyone involved with this. Surrendering is not a one way road. Do not underestimate us.

I await the Queen with an open ear and mind.

P.S. The only power that our group has given you is that in your own mind.

With respect,

Psyche-
