Ahh I see. Sounds fun -.-

He (Flynn) seems as though he could be the flighty sort? I don't know, I haven't been paying much attention. It's been a bit of an anti-climax - if you know what I mean - in comparison to other 'players' and members of the deck. Perhaps I've come to expect too much.

He doesn't seem to have much of a purpose besides this one transaction though. Maybe this will be all we'll see of him. What's he like? I have my own ideas, but their based on very, very little.

Well...I'll give you this...his plan seems to be sound. I just met with
him briefly. I still don't like it. Vegas has too many smokescreens and
there's not a lot of easy ways to control the situation there.

Quote:
Too right. Vegas is hectic. Or so I've been told. NY is my preferred territory when I travel.

So he's a careful planner...It all seems very up in the air to me. I would have thought he was the sort of person who needed to have control of a situation. Odd that he'd go somewhere where there's the possibility of so much chaos. >.<

I wonder what he's playing at?

Ha - Java went too far did he? That doesn't suprise me.

Ahh, I suppose He could be.. Just a Question.. About deals.. how much would it cost, To expose the queen, and make her lose her posistion of power.

Now that would cost me my access. Can't help you with that one without

So you really don't have anything that we need really anymore.. Or anything we can't get.

And Edwin's chopped liver? Or has he been left for dead again? But that's

How Truly Morbid.. What I meant by that is that we can probably get Edwin out through another way then opposed to trading you the password/Login.. After all how would be able to get the queen to release him.. that someone else couldn't?

Well then. You have it all figured out, Love.

My Dear Delilah, I meant no offence.. I just merely Stated what I felt.. Who know Negotiations with you will probably continue. After all Edwin Is a Dear friend of us... D-

Oh...no offense. Just an odd statement for business.

Negotiations in Flynn's hand? Yes...very troubling. And I'd worry if I

I must say, in all honesty I kind of feel sorry for your situation.. the duress you've been under lately.. it's very high for a human being to withstand.. However you are "Battle-Hardened".. as to what you said earlier about not picking the location of the meetings.. Vegas really isn't a good place, I've never been there myself but I've heard its very hectic... mind you there is a Korperation hq there I believe..

Again mine is on top:

WANTED to destroy us....

Well anyway.

Will Edwin be able to communicate with us any time soon?

-Holy crap. She actually tried my suggestion. O.o

I was considering a way to distract Delilah away from the deal.

Quote:
-Perhaps I came across a bit strong with that email. I've been trying to figure out why the Korp wants Jonah so much. Considering their opinions on consumerism and power, somehow I see the Box and Morcar as being more important to them. I get the feeling that they might try to pull a fast one during the deal. I wouldn't trust the Korp if my life depended on it.

Aside from that, how does it feel to be stateside again?-

D.
Quote:
Well...the Korp isn't rrknowned for playing fair...but the Queen has put
the decision in Flynn's hands now so best of luck to you all.

As for me, I've been enjoying the city.

I asked her if this was her first time in New York. She explained that she had been there before, but never got the chance to look around.

Quote:
Well, this is the Queen's turf. Usually, if I'm here I'm busting heads or
brokering some deal. Mostly high stakes, high stress. You ever been?

At this point, I did a few Google searches in an attempt to come up with something for her to do to get her mind off of work (and potentially her fingers out of the rescue).

Quote:
-Not yet, but I've wanted to go for some time. I've heard that there's a wonderful Russian Tea Room on W. 57th in Midtown. -

D.
Quote:
I'll have to take a look. Not usually my speed but frankly, I need to blow
off some steam tonight.

Ok. So maybe I should get her drunk and remorseful in the morning. Very Happy

Quote:
-Do you ever go to clubs? (No pun intended.)-

D.
Quote:
Haha. Smile

Not usually but I have. I get sick of the dirt bags and the flirts. Then
again...a nice band would make it worthwhile.

Ok. Something classy. Searching. Aha!

Quote:
-Well, there's a place called Grayz on W. 54th that's a bit more of an upscale cocktail lounge, if you're just looking for a place to relax and enjoy a drink.-

D.
Quote:
wow...you really know your way around. Thought you hadn't been here
before. Or did I misread?

Cocktail lounge you say? No Super Bowl? Yeah...maybe I'll check it out.

Thanks, Love

With any luck she'll wake up next to some guy who lives in his mother's basement, and a hangover that could kill. ^_^-

Interesting. I bet you'd be good as causing rifts in that crew. They're
an emotional bunch. You know who I miss? Lisa was a kick. Very sharp,
that one. She's sort of dropped off the radar for me.

If you ever have trouble playing sides, get Clem and Lisa out of the way.
They're pretty level headed. With or without ill intention, they'll work
against you by bringing reason back into the picture.

Way I see it, love, the crew's biggest flaw is their lack of rationale
when needed. Too much emotion. Too little discipline. Very exploitable.

Look at this Jonah thing. I know he means a lot to you guys. But the way
the group acts, they're screwed.

And her again:

Quote:
>>> Well...it's been awhile since I spoke with them. They're not fond of
>>> me. I'm an outsider an all...blah blah blah. As if the Deck would
>>> be relevant without interaction with the rest of the world.

And me:

Quote:
>> I concur. One second they love us, telling us it's not us and them
>> anymore it's just US, but then they dislike you? It's just because they
>> don't understand your motives. I feel bad that they can't be friends
>> with you just because they don't understand you. Sad

Her:

Quote:
> Ah...screw 'em. They can stay closed off to reality as long as they
> want. The deck is such an archaic manifestation...some great people in it,
> but definitely a bit too like Old English Serfs and the like.

Me:
Quote:
Ha ha! Definitely, I can see that.

Unfortunately, I feel my tithe may be lacking, since paying homage (honestly paying it, at least) is not something I'm good at.

Quote:
I have the same problem. The people with the titles rarely earned them.
I actually prefer the lower key positioning though. Easier to blind-side
them when they don't even know your face.

Quote:
Yes, I've realized it was both good and bad that I got so much deck recognition and respect with my art. Now I feel tied to them, which is keeping me from doing exactly what I want to do.

Here we go, yet another conversation.

Me-
Quote:
Welcome to the Stateside,

Hope you're having a good time in the Big Apple, and I apologize for the
behavior of my fellow passengers.
Well, I'm sure you've heard all that jazz already. I leave for the weekend
and all hell breaks loose.

I heard you were planning on taking some time off as well. May I advise
you treat yourself to a preformance of Spring Awakening? I've heard it's
rocktastic. Or, if you're feeling a little more dramatique, perhaps Die
Walkure, or Carmen. Their both playing at The Met this week, and they're
both supposed to be fantastic.

Once more I apologize for not only my contact in the previous weeks, but
that of my fellows. I'm sorry for any misunderstanding.

Hoping those little town blues are melting away,

Knighthawk

Her-
Quote:
Would this mean you're local? Good to hear from you again, Love.

Me-
Quote:
Sorry, not even close to being local. I'm in the far away wilderness that
is Canada. I just happen to have overheard the pretentious Operaoti
screaming about how good those plays were.
Going to an opening night preformance of HMS Pinafore has some downsides,
and men in monacles and top hats comparing real estate rates and the
NASDAQ in between their martini's is one of them.

Her-
Quote:

Canadian wilderness, eh? I quite love Toronto and Montreal. I actually
got to visit Montreal not on business. What a beautiful city.

Me-
Quote:

It's true. I'm quite a fan of this country of mine, and Montreal is one of
my top vacation destinations. You should try and make the Just for Laughs
festival if you get a chance. It's almost like Mardi Gras, but less beads
and more comedy. Ever get a chance to get to Victoria? Probably the only
rational place to visit with the tempuratures we're getting right now.

Her-
Quote:
That's B.C. right? Haven't gotten out there yet. I've heard it's
gorgeous. One day time permitting.

Me-
Quote:
It doesnt get prettier than BC in the summer. Especially in comparason to NYC in the winter that is. How are things going there for you by the way?

Her-
Quote:
For me? Quietly. Things are progressing without me.

I have other duties I've been told. I don't have them yet. I think
there's a game being played here that I haven't gotten the rules to. I
think it might be time to start digging.

Me-
Quote:
There's always a bigger game going on. I like to think that if you're not
a key player, you're just a pawn. Remember, one of the most entertaining
ways to play a game you have no rules for is to make them up as you go.

Her-
Quote:
Yes Knight Hawk...absolutely right. I need another drink. Have to get
relaxed and find my space again. It's time to shift the board a bit.

Me-
Quote:
May I advise an Ace of Spades?

1 oz crown royal
1 1/2 oz amaretto
fill Coke or Pepsi

Rather topical, don't you think?

Her-
Quote:
How appropriate. Thanks for the tip. Sounds tasty. The Ace of
Spades...there's an odd figure.

Me-
Quote:
How do you mean odd?

Her-
Quote:
Well, love, we're talking about chaos, right?

This is the master of Chaos...no small task.

Me-
Quote:
Funny you should mention that. I wonder how he deals with Chaos all the
time. He couldn't have an order to it, because that would defeat the
purpose of what he stands for. When you think about it it would seem
impossible. How would you hold order amongst those whom you trust, or even
those you order around? Could he even use the word order in converstation?
Does he mix his black and white laundry just for kicks?
Maybe he's got a personality disorder. That could help him along.

Her-
Quote:
You are quite the trip, eh, Love? As with any leader, there's a sense of
regalness. I just can't say I grasp his methods or style.

Me-
Quote:
What's the point of being a master of Chaos if people understood your
methods or styles? I try not to dwell on it.

Her-
Quote:
Probably a good policy, love.

Me-
Quote:
You might want to get a new deck member to think about. Maybe the Ace of
Diamonds. The ruler of art could probably be figured out by a good visit
to the Museum of Metropolitan Art.
But, you know who intrigues me? You. It's almost comic the amount of power
you've come to hold over the passengers, simply because you've followed
your orders. You have a pretty good gig going right now when you think
about it: Free stay in New York, entertainment courtesy the passengers,
and all you have to do is keep an eye on Edwin. Hell, I'm willing to bet
that the money's for nothing and the drinks are free.

Her-
Quote:
Hadn't put it into that light, love. But you're right. I'm used to
grabbing at the next rung, but I do get to relax right now. A rare moment
of peace I guess.

Me-
Quote:
You may as well take what you can get at the moment. You've got carte
blanche, why not live a little? Do some shopping, meet a nice guy, visit
the Statue of Liberty if you're feeling particularily "tourista"...
Think about it. You're in New York: Center of the Universe, and someone
else is fitting the bill. If I were you, I would rent out Coney Island
just so I could sit at the top of the Ferris Wheel and laugh at everyone
else who couldn't get in.

What would be the one thing you've never been able to do because you've
never had the time? It's in reach. You might as well grab it.

And that's all for now. Any more responses, and I'll update it.

 -- she's on to us
we need to warn Flynn

My e-mail: (just so you all know why she's referencing animals .. was hoping to get a longer strain of replies out of that one; crap)
Quote:
I suffered much the same before; ego-boys and their conversations. Trust me. I must have, 'Come talk to me!' stamped on my forehead somewhere. Ugh.

My apologies in getting back to you so late. I had quite a bit of reading to be done by tonight, so I retired early.

Forgive me for being presumptious, but you sound like the kind of girl that'd wear high heels. And you probably have long hair, but you'll wear it up a lot -- business dictates such, no? Of course, this is all based off of my imagination. I'd need to know your favorite animal to actually get a sense of who you are (and/or your preferred instrument). 'm rather good at guessing personalities (although I have a good grasp of yours by now, I'd like to think).

Anyway -- sorry to prattle on. Just figured you'd like some conversation while you wait. I don't harbor a lot of patience myself, but I suppose if I were in New York .. I wouldn't mind so much.

Also, I'm not sure if you have contact with the Queen at the moment, but could you possibly send apologies to her in my name? She'll understand.

Cheers -- Clementine

Followed by another of mine (after reading the uF this morning; you guys were lucky!):
Quote:
Goodness me, seems I missed a conversation with you last night, Delilah.

Damn continuing education.

I do hope you'll give us the chance again -- I'd adore talking with you in chat.

'Til then, hope you don't mind my useless e-mails. I realize I'm not as exciting as the others (if 'exciting' is even the correct word). But, I try.

Delilah: (oh shit immediately came to mind)
Quote:
Good morning, Love. Yes...last night was interesting. The sun seems a
bit too bright today if you catch my drift.

As for your description, I'd say its pretty accurate when I dress for
work. Right now, I'm pretty grubby...no public face needed.

I may be slipping under the radar for a bit. I have some detective work to do. I'm convinced there's more to this chain of events than what's being told. And my instincts are rarely wrong. You'll have to forgive me if I get quiet.

I'm partial to sea life myself. Sharks and jellyfish. On land, give me
snakes.

D

I replied with an easy-breezy message:
Quote:
I'd elaborate as to what your choices meant (I'm with you on the sea life thing; giant squid is one of my favorites) but I won't bother you. Seems you've got more pressing matters.

No need to apologize for doing your job, Delilah. I understand, and I hope all is well. Please let us know if something is wrong? (Unless you can't divulge).

Thank you as always for your time -- Clementine

And she replied right back with this:
Quote:
Actually, I wouldn't mind your insights, except that my preferences seem
to have meanings right on the surface. Still, I'd love to hear your
thoughts.

I don't have anything concrete yet. But when you're used to be the first
line, it's odd being put on the bench. It doesn't sit well with me.

D

-- and this! (lmao)
Quote:
Time to put on those heels...

D

-- I've e-mailed Flynn telling him to be careful and that Delilah now suspects something is up. Hope he isn't found out.

I followed her up with my insight as to her choice of the snake (silly, really, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to keep the flow going).

Maybe you should e-mail Dom, Loli? I'm not sure if this the kind of information he does or doesn't necessarily need to know. But, it feels like a big deal to me.

Either way, haven't heard anything from Flynn, so I'm just praying he got my message and at least knows.
