Oh how clever of her to finally name the snake. A cobra -- deadly poisonous, that one:

-- from Wiki
Quote:
The snake will only attack a human if provoked or in other extreme circumstances which threaten its survival. Furthermore, for a dangerously venomous snake, the cobra's strikes are quite slow when compared to the extremely rapid strikes of such species as rattlesnakes. Additionally, not all bites result in envenomation and in the case of the Cobra the amount of "blank" strikes may be quite high: in one series of recorded bites in Malaysia only 55% of strikes have included envenomation.

At least now we know she intends to bite .. sooner or later. Perhaps not to even kill, but certainly to stun if nothing else.

Damn she's crafty.

MIGHT BE IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

I'm sure we've all noticed it happening gradually over time, but Delilah's become far more trusting of us. At least, in the way of her recently relaxed and 'fun' persona.

She jokes with us, calls us 'Love,' and even signs her correspondence as 'D' -- like an old friend might do. Most of our conversations with her haven't even been about business. Just casual small-talk (which she actually seems appreciative of).

I'm prone to think she's liking us more than she had originally anticipated. I hope this works to our advantage later on down the road. After all, with the Queen leaving her completely bored in New York and able to e-mail back and forth with us (even coming into chat!) is a sure sign of an opportunity we didn't waste.

Woo hoo! High five!

My e-mails so far haven't been too interesting.
Some of you might like to know her music preferences though. =P

I am not a card, but I will indulge your question. Musically, I like Mars
Volta, the Cure, John Coltrane, Miles Davis (especially Bitches Brew), Sly

jazz, lo-fi, and metal and soul. Lately I love Clutch. Get's me up and
going.

In other words she likes the spy and action movie music. Lo fi for when she's sneaking around, spying, and doing detective work and metal for when she's whoopin' some ass.

If you guys are in touch with Flynn, he probably knows.

As for me, I may be going under the radar for a bit.

That's the best I got.

....All right, I have to love Delilah at least a bit because she loves CLUTCH! Very Happy

But I've found her at least interesting since the beginning. Never hated her. Maybe I should jump on the bandwagon and start e-mailing her someday. Razz

In regards to her buddying up to us, I still personally don't trust it. It's rule number one in a con. I believe she's softened up more to gain OUR trust then for us to gain hers. Classic look right/go left. I'm not the type to blindly follow anyone, but don't forget that our guides have warned us not to trust her...and I for one, regardless of what they've said, still don't.

If, however, she is growing fond of us, then it could be used to our advantage. Is it against Deck philosophy to manipulate and exploit? Something to ponder...

I am so with you on this one, Aaron. I don't trust her at all, despite what it may look like in our correspondence. I don't mind the friendly chit-chat, but I don't take it as anything other than that. I think you're spot on with the 'look right/go left'. (Stop being so smart, GOSH).

As for manipulating and exploiting her .. I'm curious about that too. I'm just now sure how we'd get around to even doing it. Probably not something the Deck would us trying out on her any time soon though, seeing as we've got quite a few Cards in bad situations.

Continuing the previous conversation.

Really though. Some think that a good offence is the best defence, but I disagree. When it comes to defence, nothing is as valuable than the ability to look through the eyes of the oponent. Sometimes you have to take a step back and examine the situation from every angle.

A note on the next few emails. I had to go, and sent my email at the same time I received hers. Looked rather suspicious on my part, so I tried to solve that quick.

Her-

Has Flynn been in touch with the passengers much? It seems that you'd be
included to a degree.

Me-

Unfortunately on that note I'll have to let you reflect. I've some buisness to attend to, and I hope we can resume this later. Have a good day Delilah.

Me-

And I just got your new email the moment I sent mine. That was rather bad timing, sounded far too suspicious. I have yet to have much contact with Flynn, but I suppose time will tell.

Remember have a good day, and frankie says relax.

Ah...evasive. A game is afoot.

See you later, love.

Her-

Ah...alright then. Of course, you know what Frankie was talking about,
don't you? Not in polite company of course.

Lmao! Well, regardless of your quick save, I'm pretty sure she's suspicious as hell now. But, we've all equally contributed to that.

(I just think this is funny as hell though .. hahaha. You can tell she's just dying for one of us to slip something.)

About how Flynn has not emailed us:

Quote:
Ok then...odd that he seems to be ignoring the passengers. Don't you find
his behavior suspicious? And I'm not even referring to my interests here.
Just general politics.

Consider:
Why has it taken so long for him to get a timetable (and don't tell me
it's because he insists the Superbowl was more important than Jonah)?

Why is he so tight-lipped with you and yours? If he's not hiding
something, why isn't it all out there to share?

Why was it important for him to go it alone?

How did he get the Queen to concede the point?

Anyways...just needed to see my thoughts in print.

Tell me about it. I had to go, and my email couldnt've gone through at a worse possible time. I'll be kicking myself for a while on that one. In the meantime, damage control is top priority for me.

Sounds like she's trying to make us suspicious of Flynn. Trying to stir things up so to speak. Although she makes a few good point, I trust Jonah, and it's hard not to trust a person who likes Depeche Mode.

Me:

Quote:
I agree, actually, but since everyone trusts him so much there's not much
we can do about it. Dom trusts him, the passengers trust him... whatever
happens is going to happen no matter how suspicious you or I are.

However, do you think attacking Flynn will get you back into the Queen's
graces? You have to realize that would just make her angry.

Be careful with that, love.

Her:
Quote:
Oh...I won't try to win the Queen back. As I've said before, the Queen
grants certain privileges that I wouldn't find in other sources easily. I
wont burn that bridge until it's already on it's way down.

I'll just gut Flynn.

Me:

Quote:
I suppose that could work, but you'd still burn that bridge if she found out it was you who hurt him in any way while he was doing a job for her. In fact, I assume you'd be in deep shit.

Quote:
All depends on the angle, love. The Queen has known me for years. If
some slick talker wooed her for the moment, it's just a crush. Which,
ironically, would be appropriate for Flynn...there's that, and he's not
around to defend himself right now which makes it a bit easier to prove my
case.

I have to hit the town for a bit. I'll catch up later.

Stay safe, Love

D

Hey there Delilah...
I just wanted to say Thanks for the little chat on AIM last night...
Hope we can do something like that again real soon.
How is your evening going?

Delilah:

This is getting serious, Love. I appreciate your politeness but have
noticed the attention everyone's giving me today. I'm starting feel like
people are blowing smoke in my face.

Any Flynn news? I know he left for Vegas but my contact there should've
tipped me off to his arrival by now, right?

Ok.. this is where I flip out on her.. enjoy. lol

Me:
Quote:
Delilah,

Wow.. See.. this is why Nice Guys finish last.. well Whatever...
So I asked a silly question.. "How was your evening?" And you snap at me!
I don't need this crap.. Like I said... Isolation is a Bitch!.

Eff this.
-Lurker

By the by..
Yes, Flynn mentioned they made it to Vegas, and that they slipped past some Loser
that was waiting for them. So I guess your contact needs some CONTACTS!

Delilah:

Well then. Hostility and bullshit. Good one.

My moods can change easily enough.. I apologize for my harsh comments.
Really. Sorry. Forgive? *puppydogeyes*

How about a joke to lighten the mood..
What did the Lurker do when he got enough guts to talk to someone?
Epic Failed.

Loli, love...can I ask a question? Why is everyone pounding me with
trivial crap? These are nice people and all but I think I've read 20
messages today about where I'm going for lunch, what sites I'm seeing. A
little friendly courtesy is one thing but I feel like I'm being smothered
with love here.

What do you know? Any Flynn news?

Which I will reply with:
Quote:
I understand the tone. I've spoken to them about being nicer to you because I'm sick of their shit (excuse the language) so I guess they're trying to make it up to both you and I. That and I think they're genuinely interested. We're not trying to pull anything over your eyes.

I recieved a call earlier from Flynn, actually. He was just letting me know Jonah is okay and they're on their way. Nothing much else was said.

NOT GOOD

Quote:
(Flynn) hasn't said a word to me. Ironic if you ask me. I've been boxed out.

The little weasel, well...big weasel set me up somehow.

What do you mean, Lurker is lying?

Also, I've been looking into a few of my passenger's reactions lately... both Lurker and Nikki are acting slightly strangely.

Maybe you're looking at this in the wrong direction. Want me to keep an eye on them for you?

I think if you're scared of being screwed, you should stay under the radar. I'll keep looking for suspicious behaviour.

Quote:
You just watch out, Love. I don't think Lurker's dangerous...young and
naive but not dangerous.

Not to mention, his massive overreaction means he's hiding something
major. I gave him a little heat and he went nuclear. Sure sign of
trouble underneath.

Which one's Nikki? Mostly I get screen names over here.
